Quote:HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Because, yanno, the commercial is all about NOTHING that Coke stands for: beautiful unspoiled nature, America, secure and happy people.

Sorry to kick over your high horse, but I watch the ads becuase they are usually (not always) pretty clever (sure, to sell stuff, but I don't even recall what most are selling) and entertaining (I still pull up that kid-as-Vader ad from a few years back because its so damned cute), and often simply technical marvels (as a filmmaker, Im always interested in seeing what can be accomplished). To each his own. I agree Story - it's really possible to watch the ads and be entertained on completely different levels than what the advertiser wanted and in no way want to buy their shitty product. It's really possible that we're not all helpless robots... and for those that are, serves 'em right. I liked seeing Animal say, "Let's Go Places!" the multi-million dollar tag line for Toyota, because the absurdity of it, the pure surreal-ness of it - those are precious moments that could NEVER be planned. The game was great - old school crushed by new school - metaphor? Time for change, for an upgrade and a rethink Everywhere?
