I'm sure ObamaCare will take care of that, right ?

Problem solved!

Thanks Obama!

I see a future in which everyone has affordable non-cumbersome jetpacks.

It's pretty cool.

Parachutes may not work at a low level, but certainly air bags should be people standard.

Poor folks could use make shift bubble wrap wear.

Hmm. There is a guy who used science to perform a 35 foot dive into 30 centimeters of water.

Perhaps a suit that inflates would be sufficient resistance on impact. The person would just have to be aware enough in the second or so they might have to pull a ripcord.

I think a good portion of fall deaths are because of old people. You break a hip and yer a goner. Seen it happen a dozen times... One I know of they left her bed-ridden with a broken hip for two years because no one would take a risk on fixing it. I've sprained a hip- and lemme tell you- there is NO pain worse. I'd give birth to triplets with no drugs before I'd sit around with a broken hip for a year.

An entire city-wide wire system that everyone is hooked up to to allow spectacular jumps would almost be as cool as everyone having jetpacks. But not quite.

That'd be the greener, and therefore more common sense, solution.

I'd outlaw concrete as a surface.
Make helmets to be worn by law, like it is for kids riding bicycles.
And hip-protectors for those over 39.
Anti-osteoporosis medications to go with vaccinations.

This is a viral menace that NEEDS to be stopped in its tracks!

And ban all those parkour & Jackie Chan movie abominations that glorify the defiance of the vile REALITY of gravity.
GRAVITY KILLS.

"Fall" insurance.

A new injury-specific industry is born. Better for the economy, better for business... better for you.

Such a public work would require a significant involvement of government - including into people's homes.

Some jet packs work with water.

Hmm. I never said we couldn't help people with addictions - provided they want help. Just that asking what policies and laws we can put into play to end addiction is the wrong approach.

Falling??? Bubble wrap???

What are you guys thinking???

Head-to-toe Kevlar. Not only reduces injuries from falls, but also gunshot deaths. Seriously, dudes, it's time to get practical about this!

How about fully encasing everyone in self propelled, autonomous armored shell to protect all from the trials and tribulations of being alive ?

You could even get them in an array of colors !

See, I know you're making a joke, but now I can't stop thinking about how on earth Kevlar could reduce fall injuries.

She's thinking down the stairs or off a first floor balcony thing obviously. Body armour won't prevent serious deceleration trauma.

I wore body armour when I had my motorcycle, crashed once because of black ice, and yeah, it totally helps there.
