Obama, before becoming president, was a professor at the University of Chicago Law School for 12 years, who's expertise was in Constitutional Law.

Cruz was an adjunct professor of law at the University of Texas School of Law, where he taught US Supreme Court litigation for 5 years.

Both, I imagine, know the Constitution. But in politics that doesn't matter. Cruz will use any means necessary to gain power in the political arena, including lie, cheat and steal. I ask you, can you really trust a Canadian?

Seriously, Congress controls the purse strings of this country. if they decide to stop payment, there is nothing the president can do. And so, the Republican-controlled Congress rolled the dice and tried to strong-arm the president into giving in to their demands. Congress blinked first!

Cruz tucked his tail between his legs and cowered in the corner. And no amount of rearranging the truth can change that fact. He bluffed and the president called his bluff. It's as simple as that.

And now the sleaze-balls in the NRCC are raising funds off 4 dead Americans, and Boehner refuses to tell them to cease and desist. Shameless hucksters and snake-oil men, the lot of them.

The House cannot shut down the government. The Senate cannot propose Spending, Expenditure, or Budget bills - or any Bills.
The House passed numerous Spending, Expenditure, and Budget Bills. Cruz would have voted for many of them, had not Harry Reid prevented the vote because he insisted on shutting down the government at Obama's behest.
The super extra spending of excessive expenses to block citizens from partaking in Private Parks was not part of shutting down the government, but merely Obama having a hissy fit
