Everyone knows that 4 or 40 deaths don't mean a damn thing as long as this administration is in office.

Dr C might have made a better point if he'd said the whistle blowers were a gift from the sky fairy, but he's smart enough to say what he means.

Leave it to others to twist his words around, while they completely ignore what others are saying.

Well, I'm not going to wait.

This is as I see it:
'interviewer' sets up the position veterans deaths = 'obamacare'
Carson calls it a 'gift from god' so that we can see what happens when 'bureaucracy' gets between patients and healthcare providers (giggle)
'interviewer' people have died and it takes it to a different level
Carson - we need 'seriousness' and to think about the people rather than political spin ... and then seems to lose the thread of the 'seriousness' of it to 'people' and derails into government spending ...

I can't imagine how anyone can think this is meaningful.

The deaths at the VA? Terrible. The cause of those deaths? It's not really clear. I've been reading about how veteran's care has been underfunded ever since the Bush administration. Maybe that had something to do with it. http://www.delawareonline.com/story/opinion/contributors/2014/05/24/ti

Carson's just doing the right-wing thing; try to find anything wrong with anything and tie it to Obamacare or Benghazi. Just a point nobody seems to have noticed:

How about some perspective?

1. The V.A. DOES represent a "relatively small number"; how in the world you are going to do it? Try Medicare. Got its problems, no argument, but it WORKS.

2. Politicians' relationship ON BOTH SIDES to veterans has been fucked up SINCE THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (for the history see Jon Stewart detail it for you below). This is nothing new, this is just "but, but, but, OBAMACARE! BENGHAZI!"

3. Something about at least one war we didn't have to even get into creating a whole slew of new veterans needing medical care... (yeah, I know, "But BENGHAZI!")
