As Americans scrambled ahead of the July Fourth holiday weekend on Thursday afternoon, the Department of Health and Human Services released 1,296 pages of new regulations dealing with payment rates to doctors and hospitals.

The timing of the news release is part of a long pattern for President Obama's administration, which has often used holidays as an opportunity to dump dense regulatory changes when most reporters and Americans are focused on their holiday plans.

The release came at 4:15 p.m.

It's called taking out the trash. It is a time honored tradition utilized by every administration. I am surprised you guys are not hip to it because you come across as though you never heard of it before.

I am shocked, shocked to find out there is gambling going on here!

You're ignoring the substance of the story and instead want to focus on the manner in which the admin. released it.

Why is that ?

Not so. I am just pissed the Republicans have not pitched in to help but instead make this as hard as they can. Not like the democrats did with Bushes Medicate part 2 plan which was projected to cost 7 trillion dollars which Bush proposed no way to pay for. Just like he did with the two wars. After the bill was passed into law the democrats no longer complained but instead pitched in to help because it got off to a terrible start. The ACA is law now and the country needs this to work.

Again, you're skirting the issue, intentionally.

This is all Obama's doing. 1000%. The extra 1,300 pages of regulations, all on Obama.

The ACA will not work, nor do we NEED it to work. It will fail, as it was designed to do. There is no 'fixing' the ACA.

And let me emphasize one more time. This is ENTIRELY Obama's doing. These extra regulations aren't suppose to be, nor were they ever intended on being a 'fix'. There is nothing here that , had the GOP just pitched in , we'd not need MORE. This , as is the employer mandate ( purposefully scheduled to kick in AFTER the next election period ) was specifically done to screw America, and then keep safe those tho voted for it, at least through the 2014 election.

After that, the admin , along w/ the MSM , assumes that it can dodge, ignore, delay, and carry on, as it sees fit. Just as this admin has done w/ every scandal.

Once more, why do you try to over look the obvious, and make into something which it absolutely isn't ?

*ETA - and you're gonna have to cite where W's Medicaid Part 2 prescription plan would cost anywhere near 7 TRILLION, when Obama's ACA wasn't even suppose to cost 1 trillion. We now know THAT figure was and always had been planned to be much higher.

No, I just don’t see it the way you do. I understand what you are saying but it is only a small part of what’s going on. Yes, he is dumping the shit while the press is focused elsewhere. They all do it. Yes, there is still so much more work that’s needed to fix what ails the ACA. The same type of problems occur with all large pieces of legislation. To name a few. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Oh yeah, Bushes unfunded 7 trillion dollar Medicaid 2 bill. Make no mistake, the ACA is here to stay.

It’s here to stay and it will be improved upon. It is working for most as you and I debate its virtues.

Really ? 70 years ?

That's a load of go-se.

Please.

And since it has zero to do w/ O-Care, or the 1,300 pages of MORE regulations, I'll accept your defeat and call it a night.

Well, closer to 80 than 70.

My bad.

It is a program that is not paid for. 10 trillion is about,133,333,333,333.33 or (133 billion 333 million 333 thousand and 333) a year.

Health care is out of control and I am glad the door has been kicked open by Obama so we can start picking at it. The first thing that needs doing is getting the insurance companies accountable to anti-trust laws.

Plus the wars which I believe China is still funding?

•The US federal price tag for the Iraq war — including an estimate for veterans' medical and disability costs into the future — is about $2.2 trillion dollars. The cost for both Iraq and Afghanistan/Pakistan is going to be close to $4.4 trillion, not including future interest costs on borrowing for the wars. Many of the wars’ costs are invisible to Americans, buried in a variety of budgets, and so have not been counted or assessed. For example, while most people think the Pentagon war appropriations are equivalent to the wars’ budgetary costs, the true numbers are twice that, and the full economic cost of the wars much larger yet.

http://costsofwar.org/

Yet your biggest gripe is that someone in this country is trying to get all Americans health care. I think your priorities are a bit off. Perhaps I am wrong because you may have been just as tough on the Republicans before I came to this site. Were you?

O-Care isn't paid for either, by any stretch of the imagination.

This country is 17 trillion dollars in debt. Soon to be 18 trillion.

If you're going to congratulate anyone for 'kicking the door in 'on fixing HC, why not start with W ?

No we don't, and not it isn't. The cost is all a frelling shell game. Expand it out to 2083, and I assure you, it'll dwarf anything found in W's pill bill.

Sooner we destroy O-Care, the better for the country.

No they haven't,
No they haven't.
And no they haven't.
You're wrong.
All you're doing is pasting together snippets of completely unrelated issues, trying like hell to make a case which absolutely does not exist.
Your entire attempt is to agitate, annoy and harass anyone who dares to stand up to your intrusive money grab. A money grab that takes from some and gives to others, purely ( and this is vital ) for the sake of getting more votes.
Mob rule, screw the law.

Here ya go buddy.

Nice fictional pie chart.

The theft from Medicare alone is over 700 billion, or near 2x what this piece of propaganda claims.

btw - not sure why you felt the need to include my quote from an entirely different issue, you demagogueing the womens welfare issue. Guess you felt the need to pile on where you really had nothing in the first place.

Mistake, I posted the chart in the wrong thread. When I realized my mistake I cut and pasted the whole thing here. Not editing it was a terrible oversight. My apologies...

Perhaps not all of the 700 billion was going to the ACA? Perhaps you are wrong. Maybe, its possible, and not outside the realm of possibilities. It happens to the best of us.

Try again. Next time you think he might be wrong, double check your work, and your viewpoint. The wrong is more likely in the mirror.
