You can tell who the Reuters photographer was by comparing the angle of the picture and the video.

But the Reuters photographer whose photo I selected out of many KNEW the pictures of evil separatists looting bodies WAS NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE FACTS. ALL THE REPORTERS THERE KNEW THAT. ALL OF THEM.

I find this thread a bit callous and petty, in light of 290 actual people having recently been violently murdered. BY Russian separatists.

I GET the point that's trying to be made, about the media, but I find the means of relaying that message over done.

Also, I find it a bit funny that early on, I JOKED about a drunk Igor and Dimitry firing off a rocket, just for kicks. Turns out, the name of the one responsible for the order to fire was named 'Igor',and there's a running theme of the separatists being drunk on vodka.

Sometimes stereotypes really do have a basis of truth to them.

So KIKI, which of the articles about looting you cite above(at least the ones that actually link to a story instead of say its a broken link) actually used the picture of the separatist with the teddy bear (although it looks more like a monkey to me)? Or is the fact the one individual didn't actually take one teddy bear/monkey proof to you that no one else did any looting?

When to bodies get back to the Netherlands and the forensic specialists start looking for rings and other jewelry described by family members, we'll have better information. Also expect that someone will be looking for use of the credit cards of victims.

Of course, if there are reports of missing jewelry or credit card usage, you and SignyM will write it off as part of the vast global conspiracy to frame the poor Russians.

The Dutch are the ones most in bed with Russia as far as monies looted from the Russian people. I think the Dutch people may insist on some tough talk. We will see. I know you you were partially agreeing with me. But - given that the reporters there knew firsthand what was going on (as portrayed in the video) - and then misrepresented it as something vastly different (as portrayed in the photos) - why do you believe the misreporting was an accidental 'oops'? Or as you put it "the media outlets are all too happy to feed their curiosity - even if it's not real". Why would they not feed their curiosity with the facts as they observed them? And how do you explain that the media outlets all made the same 'mistake'?
