What's so hilarious is how some claim I never offer proof. When I absolutely do, time and time again. Yet their only response ? To blindly dismiss it, out of hand, and carry on as if nothing was posted at all.

Can't deal w/ the facts, so you play the deaf, blind and mute monkey routine.

About the same cerebral capacity of your average 4 year old.

Today's your day, buttercup.

Ebola cannot be spread simply by being near someone who is infected. People only become contagious after they begin to have symptoms.

http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/preparedness/ebola-outbreak.aspx

That's a far cry from your earlier claim that it becomes MORE contagious as symptoms progress.

You are contagious if you are symptomatic. You do not become more contagious or less contagious once you are already symptomatic. It's like becoming a little pregnant, or more pregnant. You either are contagious, or you are not.

I understand that you're too dim to get that, but that doesn't lend any credence at all to your idiotic claims.

Oh, raptard will never watch that. If he did, he wouldn't be able to keep asking for cites and claiming he never heard her make the remark. And as he believes, if he didn't hear it, it never happened. He's got the scientific mind of a two year old, and the poopy diapers to match.

Afraid I am compelled to disagree with your post. Or, actually the cite that you use.
WH and CDC and NIH are trying to claim what you have posted. But the virulence of Ebola has been known to peak enough prior to display/presentation of symptoms (during it's incubation) to be contagious in some cases. There are not enough details or research to specify what effect contributing factors such as overall health, fitness, eating habits, ailments of the host have on this.
But don't tell anybody, we don't want them to panic.
It apparently does regress this condition for a period before onset of symptoms display.

The longer the virus has been in someone, the more symptomatic they become, the greater risk they are to spread the disease.

And now some female doctor or nurse is upset for being quarantined in NJ after trying to bring Ebola into America as well.

And why the Left tries to mock, insult and intimidate folks from even having a rational discussion over the matter of Ebola, the real world , Right and Left, places prudent , practical policies , as the White House whines.

Both New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Friday they are ordering a mandatory, 21-day quarantine for all doctors and travelers who have had contact with Ebola victims in the ravaged countries of West Africa.

The move comes a day after a Doctors Without Borders volunteer was diagnosed with the disease after returning to the U.S. a week after treating Ebola victims in Guinea.

So you're officially angry at Obama for NOT detaining American citizens without cause or due process?

Hell, that's a first.

By the way, the quarantine's over already, because Governor Krispy Kreme couldn't face a hearing where habeas would be invoked, because he knew he'd lose.

Today, a nurse who isn't sick took a bike ride.

Conservatives freaked out, of course, and demanded to know why she hasn't been detained or imprisoned for the crime of not being sick. They all seem to agree that her REAL crime is volunteering to try to help the sick and the poor. As Ayn Rand pointed out to them, altruism is the real evil.

Meanwhile, early reports from New York support my prediction that not a single person would be infected by the doctor who developed symptoms and is being treated at the state-run public hospital. That's a far cry from what happened in the privately-owned for-profit hospital in Texas where two people were infected because of malfeasance on the part of the hospital.

U.S. troops returning from Ebola-stricken nations will be isolated for 21 days, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced Wednesday, a day after the White House raised concerns about states imposing strict quarantines of health care workers returning from West Africa.

Top commanders for the Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps made the recommendation to Hagel on Tuesday. The Army instituted an isolation requirement for 21 days — the incubation period for the deadly virus — on Monday.

Hagel directed the isolation policy be reviewed in 45 days to see whether it was necessary to continue with it, said Rear Adm. John Kirby, Pentagon press secretary.

"The secretary believes these initial steps are prudent," Kirby said, adding the review period will reveal "what we learn and observe from the initial wave of personnel returning from (West Africa.)"

Hagel's decision goes beyond Pentagon guidelines issued earlier this month that stopped short of requiring isolation, urging only that returning troops be subject to medical monitoring..
