Sounds like their plan. Johnny Boner's plan is to protect his liberal buddies from the newly elected conservatives by passing the libtard legislation now, before the Congressional members who were just elected can interfere with his libtard goals.

GOP wants to pass omnibus spending bills, Continuing Resolutions, anything to get funding for the next 10 months, to prevent the American electorate from getting what they voted for.

And are these "newly elected conservatives" going to be able to override a presidential veto?

The answer to both is no.

So before you pin all your hopes and dreams on these "newly elected conservatives", and before you trash the clearly moderate majority of the Republican Party, you might want to lower your expectations a tad or two. Otherwise you may not be able to handle all the bitter disappointment that lies ahead.

Dems who want to be re-elected will help override vetoes of the most unpopular POTUS in history.

If not, then a healthy government shutdown will save gobs of tax revenues. Don't need any more Military expenses - no more military campaigns. And they don't need to go to Ebola Central Eria. That's the only thing the Fed government was needed for anyhow.

The Senate obliterated HR3590 to draft ACA, and then passed it on 24 Dec 2009 by vote of 60-39.
This legislation was never passed by the House before, so it could not be passed into law until both chambers passed identical bills. The House was convinced to give up it's House version.
The House could not change the bill because the Senate no longer had a 60-vote majority, and could only stuff enough bribes - errr - pork into it with reconciliation Amendment to the ACA.
After enough negotiation to guarantee both the ACA and the Amendment would be passed in accordance with the Dems required pork, on March 21 the House passed both the ACA (vote 219-212) and the reconciliation Amendment to the ACA (the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, by 220-211).
Obama signed into law the ACA on 23 March 2010.
Senate voted the fiscal Amendments 56-43 on 25 march, 2010 because they could not get the 60 votes needed for a non-fiscal legislation. Without this, the ACA would never have been passed into law.
House voted on the new Senate version of the Amendment, 220-207.
Obama signed the Amendment into law 30 March, 2010.
Obamacare became law only with 56 Senate votes.

Fiscal reconciliatory Amendments can pass by 51 votes in the Senate. That means funding, and also defunding. Without funding, ACA dies.

By the way, fantasymark's claim that 54.9% is mathematically equivalent to 66.7% (aka "two thirds") exposes him as hopelessly drowning in libtardism. If he could only clarify that he was using libtardian calculated maths to redefine mathematical laws, we could be able to understand why he lies so.

I have not seen any claims that the voter turnout for November 2014 was less than 28.5%, which would make fantasymark's claim accurate. The claims I have seen are around 36 or 37% total, and breakdowns between conservatives and liberals, let alone Republicans and Democrats, are hard to find at this point. Clearly, with 700 Democrats losing their seats nationwide, it was heavily tilted to the conservatives side. The long-held concept that the same conservative 26.5% came out again and vanquished the liberal 11% is a possibility.

Even using a bloated figure like 60%, it is not "double" the amount of 36% in the midterms, as the moron fantasymark claims from the megaphone of his ass.

Back to the original topic. I had thought yesterday was the final vote, but apparently it was just a committee vote.

And the shocker for yesterday and today: who could have predicted that America was on the verge of being protected from the GOP liberals by the likes of Nancy Pelosi???!!!
Yes, Pelosi has been the savior of America's conservatives, trying to stop this spending spree. She almost halted the bill yesterday, and then today the vote to plan for the vote to prepare for the vote for the resolution for the vote to pass the Cramnibus Resolution was 213 for (Republican liberals, not one Democrat) to 213 against (every single Democrat, plus conservatives) until Johnny Boner got former tea-party-backed Kerry Ventibolio (R-MI, lame-duck) to switch and pass it 214-212. That was labeled a procedural vote. Can Pelosi stop the actual bill from passing? Much speculation that she can, and save America. Believe it or not, I do not taste vinegar typing that out.

Even the news services have acknowledged that every single Democrat has voted for a Government Shutdown, and further proffered that since it is Dems Shutting Down the Government, it is a wise and crafty political move (but if the GOP does it, it is life-ending), and that they, the MSM, will still blame it on the GOP anyhow.

So, last I've heard, the GOP liberals are trying very, very, very hard to give America the finger, but the coalition of Every Single Democrat and Republican conservatives is working to save America from the GOP.

Kinda why my plan about ALWAYS maintaining a Republican House and Senate while maintaining a Democratic President works.

As fair as it would be vice versa, the people would be generally happier with a Democratic President, hence the checks and balances always...

To move from 212-214 against the rule, Johnny Boner convinced Marlin Stutzman (R-IN) to switch his vote, explaining that in order to defeat the rule, Stutzman had to vote in favor of the rule, and Johnny promised him that the Cramnibus was dead and would not again appear on the floor. This got Boner to to 213-213 tie.

The House will need to vote again on all the changes that the Senate makes to Cramnibus, so there is still time to contact your Congressional Rep. I'm telling mine that he lied in his campaign 6 weeks ago, and now he has proven that he will vote the opposite of his campaign promise, and if Cramnibus passes I will never be able to vote for him again.
