A man protesting Fox News Channel outside the network's New York City base in the News Corp. building shot himself, critically injuring himself in the process, according to a report in The New York Post.

The newspaper, citing police who had been at the scene, said the unidentified man had been protesting the cable-news network and had been told to leave by security guards. Instead of following their instructions, the man appeared to have shot himself. A small-caliber weapon was found by his side, the Post said. The Post reported the man was heard saying Fox News had "ruined his life."

The country needs more liberals to follow his fine example. All you Fox News hating libtards right here ought to show your solidarity by blowing your big stupid melon heads off in front of your local Fox station.

Just do it ... you know you want to.

Fox has ruined a lot of lives. Dr. Tiller comes to mind.

They've got rubes voting against their own interests, and went to court for the right to lie.

If you don't have a gun to shoot yourself with to protest against Fox News, try pouring gasoline on yourself and then lighting a match. That will really make a powerful statement about how bad they are and how much you hate them.

You could teach FOX's Jeanine Pirro how to better attack enemies -- "We Need to Kill Them!" Jan 10, 2015
Judge Jeanine Pirro is the host of Fox News Channel's Justice with Judge Jeanine which premiered in January 2011. It airs on weekends and focuses on the big legal stories of the week.

The following Jeanine Pirro five-minute tirade on FOX had everything: finger-wagging, fear-mongering, misinformation, wild conspiracy theories, the phrase “cut and run” and, naturally, ball-shaming. It’s a cocktail of Obama Derangement Syndrome delivered with laser-like precision directly into the outrage cortexes of typical Fox News viewers, likely inducing octogenarian white-guy erections with tensile strengths not experienced since Don Ameche, Wilford Brimley and Hume Cronyn splashed around in that magical pool in Cocoon. – http://thedailybanter.com/2014/06/one-craziest-fox-news-rants-ever-han

I lost my dad to Fox News: How a generation was captured by thrashing hysteria

Old white people are drowning in despair and rage. Here's how my father lost his mind -- thanks to his cable diet.

Old, white, wrinkled and angry, they are slipping from polite society in alarming numbers. We’re losing much of a generation. They often sport hats or other clothing, some marking their status as veterans, Tea Partyers or “patriots” of some kind or another. They have yellow flags, bumper stickers and an unquenchable rage. They used to be the brave men and women who took on America’s challenges, tackling the ’60s, the Cold War and the Reagan years — but now many are terrified by the idea of slightly more affordable healthcare and a very moderate Democrat in the White House.

We’re losing people like my father to the despair of Fox News, and it’s all by design.

My dad is 67 years old, a full year younger than the average Fox viewer, who is 68, according to an analysis in New York magazine by columnist Frank Rich. I’ve read accounts of people my age — 40 or so — losing parents to cancer or Alzheimer’s, but just as big a tragedy are the crops of grandmothers and grandfathers debilitated by Fox News-induced hysteria.

The local FOX affiliate were the bully, but he was the one others were afraid of ?

Yeah, he was a stable guy.

What did the HQ in NYC have to do with his dysfunction again ?

Oh, nothing.

This started with "All you Fox News hating libtards right here ought to show your solidarity by blowing your big stupid melon heads off in front of your local Fox station." Fox News loving cons seem hate filled. That's not a problem for the hateful. They love themselves the way they are.

Jongstrawman seems to have missed that the dude was a Fox employee. He didn't mention that either because he's trying to mislead people, or because he's a dipshit. Or both. Probably both.

But I support his proposal to have all other Fox employees follow this employee's fine example.

They won't, of course - like Jongstraw himself, they are all cowards.

Kill yourself, Strawman. Be a man, show us all how it's done. Don't pussy out now!

Why else would Fox hire him? You don't technically have to be insane to work for them or watch the propaganda they laughingly call "news", but it sure helps.

Phillip Perea's suicide could have meant something important if only he wrote a note saying, “I killed myself because of FOX owner Rupert Murdoch's unjust cancellation of Firefly.”

So, a show is cancelled when this guy is in his mid 20's. He grows up, goes to work at the NEWS side of this network - not the entertainment side which cancelled Firefly - and THEN after 13 years or so, he kills himself ?

Yes! New Browncoats are created daily by the serendipitous discovery of Firefly. It is a far superior reason for Phillip Perea to kill himself protesting FOX's Rupert Murdoch cancelling Firefly than the reasons Perea actually put on youtube. If you're gonna die, die for something more worthwhile than protesting workplace bullying at FOX.

CNN sacked over 300 people last year, they may want to put up a fence with guard towers around their headquarters in Atlanta. They could have a CNN ex-employee suicide watch on the Situation Room with Wolfman Blitzer.

FOX News serves a useful purpose. I love FOX News on cable because I prefer my great grandmother watch it rather than WWE Monday Night Raw Live! Ma-ma watching FOX is better for her heart.

wow, Jongstraw's kid is writing for Salon. Who woulda thought!

seriously, my dad got more conservative as years went by and switched sides somewhere in his 50's. He spent a lot of time shouting at the tv because everything infuriated him.

He got Foxtel in his late 80's because he loved having the world beamed into his loungeroom coz he could no longer get to the world. He watched a bit of Fox news and thought the american right wingers on that channel were completely NUTS. And that's from someone who was pretty conservative by Australian standards.
