Amputees in Action has won a contract from the UK Ministry of Defence to help provide realism to military training. Berenice Baker talks to managing director John Pickup, himself an amputee actor, about how this innovative company is helping to prepare medics and soldiers for the worst possible battlefield injury scenarios.

In June 2012, ‘Amputees in Action’, an agency for amputee actors, was appointed by international service company Serco Group as one of two training subcontractors to help deliver a major contract awarded by the UK Ministry of Defence.

Under the Contemporary Operating Environment Force (COEFOR) contract, Amputees in Action will provide their own unique brand of raw, blood and guts realism to help support the British Army in their preparations for operations, such as those in Afghanistan.

Here, Berenice Baker asks John Pickup about the agency’s involvement in military training exercises and what the future holds for the innovative company.

Berenice Baker: What is the background of Amputees in Action?

“We set up the company in 2004 primarily to provide a one-stop shop for the industry. In 2005 we got invited to work with the military playing roles in training exercises.”
John Pickup: We came out of the film and TV industry portraying injured soldiers in productions such Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers.

Some fellow actors [and I] quickly realised that there was a niche market for amputees outside of the major agencies, so we could specialise.

We set up the company in 2004 primarily to provide a one-stop shop for the industry. In 2005 we got invited to work with the military playing roles in training exercises.

With the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the crews needed help to do the training [and] it’s grown from there. We’ve now got nearly 300 actors on our books, plus, SFX (special effects) personnel for the role-playing side.

BB: Are many of your amputee employees ex service personnel?

JP: There is a healthy mix of military and civilian people on our books, but we’ve got a bigger proportion from normal civilian walks of life, who have lost limbs through industrial accidents and medical causes such as cancer and diabetes.

BB: Are the military contracts fairly regular?

JP: We work quite a lot with the military, taking part in about five different exercises a year, with some of them spanning a ten-week period, which is quite a big timeframe.

As not all our actors are ex-military, we have to train them in military protocols and maintain secrecy; we’ve got about 80 guys trained up at the moment and we’re in the process of more training.

BB: What special effects do you provide?

JP: What we do in the role-playing industry is slightly different to what they do in the film and TV industry. The medics will have to interact with the fake amputated limb. The mechanisms of the injury are different from how it works on film and the make-up looks completely different.

There are also more time constraints during an exercise than on a film set. Though it’s very realistic, we don’t make it so horrific the medics run away; we give them training as close to the real thing as possible to help them save lives.

This was such a norm that the casting of authentically disabled actors as disabled characters has only become more commonplace since the late 1980s, though normally such actors are in supporting or background roles. As Kevin Barrett’s hugely successful Press TV article pointed out yesterday we witnessed corporate media suggesting a major domestic terror attack might have been done by our own security people. Military Intelligence agrees.

Tony Cartalucci followed with his article focusing on how most of the terrorism in America has either been imported in the form of Intel trained sacrificial lambs such as the Chicago bomber, who without ID or luggage was just escorted onto an awaiting plane by security people.

He further described the FBI’s involvement in home grown terrorism by grooming MK Ultra type fringe people and leading them through all the steps necessary to give them an easy terror bust.

Many in the Intel and national security business have watched all this happen just totally aghast not only at the brazenness involved to orchestrate such sting operations, but the general acceptance by a public that seems almost brain dead to the internal threat represented. There is much blame to go around.

The pattern of so-called terror attacks happening when terror drills are being held at the same location has happened way too often to be a coincidence. This leads me to recommend that whenever a terror drill is suggested for the next major public event that all of the security organizers be arrested on the spot and water boarded to get all the details from them.

Corporate media today continued their downhill slide in public trust. They completely censored out the confirmed reports of a bomb exercise drill being conducted at the finish line area. I suspect that DHS just told them that was wrong the media shills took that as true. We have the photos of the bomb sniffing dogs, and what motive would the witnesses have to lie?

Military Intelligence usually suspects US law enforcement for most ‘terror attacks’ because they are intimately aware of Israeli intelligence penetration into not only the FBI but having many tentacles into the Dept. of Homeland Insecurity. Much of this is due to their super asset and first DHS director Michael Chertoff.

It was through his setting up the outsourcing of DHS’s security drills to outside contractors which was the first nail in the coffin for American security.

What most don’t know is that these are usually Israeli companies. They play the role of the ‘opposing force’.

Chertoff also saw to it that the Israelis got an affirmative action gift of being a first stop for buying security equipment, ahead of American companies even.

If someone were to ask me if other Western countries, when doing their ‘security drills’ if Israeli companies were also contracted to play the opposing force, I would respond, “What do you think?”

I think you all are smart enough to see the scale of treason involved in these countries to allow such a situation to develop. More complicated is why all those in their respective security agencies who know this is done to put the Israelis in a position to penetrate them, will never say a word about it publicly.

At Veterans Today we had our counter terror crew going over high resolution photos being sent in and closely reviewed not only for what was to seen, which smart cadets could do, but what was not there, which often tells you a lot more about who is really behind a terror attack.

What we quickly observed was security breach after security breach, like all the doors had been left open. We saw Israeli operational profiles all over the place, many with ear buds getting feeds from higher up spotters who were watching where the cops and bomb dogs were, and where they were not.

Backpacks, including big ones were everywhere to be seen like there was a backpack convention going on in Boston. Most of the police presence seemed to be involved in protecting the runners from the race bystanders with all eyes on tired runners trudging over the finish line.

The obvious glaring weak spot was behind the crowd, always the perfect place for bomb placement as the blast effect would be enhanced bouncing off the solid construction of buildings.

But in all of the photos we have seen so far there was no visible uniform police presence in this vulnerable area, just two obvious kind of undercover cops or contractors.

Security protocol would usually have these areas discreetly patrolled by plain clothes officers in ear plug communication with overhead spotters guiding them toward anyone looking suspicious. We have long had special equipment that such undercover cops can carry that can screen what people have in their bags simply be standing next to them.

In the drill they announced they were running they would have had people trying to catch a bomb drop. If not, why else have a drill, other than to pull off a real bombing?

Concealed bombs and weapons detection mobile technology was used long ago for the Secret Service to be able to mingle in a crowd and pick up anyone who had a gun on them. It is much better today, lighter and more accurate.

The pressure cooker bomb is a large target to spot, not the little pipe bomb one might suspect to be used at such a gathering. They can be concealed under an arm or in the groin area. We spotted a suspect with the clear outline of one of these kettle bombs in his backpack. We have not a single report of a backpack search by any witness, photo or video evidence.

This suspect had a tubular potato chip canister in the side of his bag, the same one that was seen when he was captured on video camera placing the second bomb. BTW it went off 12 seconds after the first, a professional bomb placement from training where you would know that someone ducking for cover in a doorway after an explosion like he did would not be suspicious at all.

He could have been a patsy as they are routinely used in these ‘exercise’ false flag ops so the local cops can have their fall guy.

Would real security allow people with big backpacks to roam around without some way to screen these bags? No. So what happened? How did two kettle bombs get placed within a 100 yards of the finish line where the perpetrators would know all the TV cameras would be? Who would risk such a ‘certain to get caught’ attack unless they were rigging up as suicide bombers?

Absent from the media coverage today was even a single word of what a tremendous security failure this is. They have so many agencies involved in these joint task forces that is common for many participants to feel someone else is always responsible for doing the real work. Many are just along for the ride and the easy overtime money.

Yes, folks, these events are milked for extra hours fought over so everybody gets their cut of the extra security cash for these big events.

Our controlled media did their usual job of not only staying completely away from a horrible security failure, but also diverting the public’s attention from it. CNN was all feel goody hero stories today, when the only needed heroes should have been those who caught the bombers.

What we have here once again is a profile of a security stand down. Could it be incompetence? No, not when you outsource to one of the biggest terrorist operations in the world… the one called Israel.

If you tried to do anything to turn this situation around you would be up against the vast majority of Congress as usual… people also are confused about their loyalty. They also are held in contempt in military Intel circles for betraying their country.

We have a photo of the bomber talking to a cohort in the blue sweatshirt top and red sneakers. He also was carrying a big backpack and is a suspect as the first bomber.

Our sources tell us he was picked up and is safely on his way home now. I will let you guess where.(Update: This turned out to be the Saudi with Royal connections to get him out quickly)

This will be just another chapter in the book called American Treason. It will take a major shaking up of the country to pry the fingers of these people from our throats. But frankly, I fear the good folks don’t have the stomach for it.

Let me repeat in closing. There was no way that two kettle bombs could have been walked in, placed, and then the bombers get away, without a security penetration letting them do it.

And if any of you have any doubts, the ricin letters that made the news today… that a dead giveaway of an organized terror campaign by our own people here, like the anthrax was back around 911 days. That helped get the Patriot Act passed without most of the Congresscritters reading it.

And like the lead FBI guy said at the press conference, ‘someone knows who the bomber was’. He was of course already trying to cover for disappearing the second bomber. So I will ask like he did. All you security people out there who know who was really responsible, we are waiting to hear from you.

When you get thrown into the military arena, no-one tells you that there are men running around with rifles and there are tanks and helicopters, so it can be quite a dangerous place if you don’t know what’s going on around you and you’re not made aware of all the health and safety issues.
There’s also an aspect of being trained to react appropriately to the medical treatment that’s being administered, whether correctly or incorrectly, and medical protocols they have to follow.

BB: Can you paint a picture of the sort of scenario you might detect during a military exercise?

JP: The one most people will recognise from some of the TV documentaries is a foot patrol leaving a compound and then they come under fire or one of the party steps on a mine.
[One of them] gets blown up and the troops then have to deal with the situation. They could be an hour or two’s walk from the compound and they’ve then got an injured soldier or civilian they’ve got to deal with, treat in the field and then evacuate to a safe point or extract to a main hospital.
We pick the worst possible scenario that could happen to somebody so when these kinds of accidents happen for real, they should be able to deal with it very easily.

BB: What special effects do you provide?

JP: We’ve already got a presence in Europe and we’re looking to move into Europe and worldwide, though obviously we’re struggling with the economic climate which is a bit jittery. It’s a three-pronged approach targeting films, emergency services and the military.
We’ve also been working hard on the corporate sector, such as dangerous places like oil rigs that need emergency training, and that may grow into other things. Though everyone wants to do it on the cheap at the moment.

We are the premier amputee agency growing and expanding into new areas; we’re always looking for new business and new opportunities. Working with Serco, who are a top 100 company, has presented us with some new opportunities that may come through that relationship in the future.

Now other corporate [companies] of a similar ilk are looking at us, so this relationship will benefit Amputees in Action in the future. Obviously it’s tough in the current economic climate, but being an entrepreneur I’m sure I’ll find something.

Witnessing Boston’s Mass Casualty Event

As with previous terrorist bombings, one must ask whether the ordnance described by police is in fact capable of wreaking the havoc that it purportedly caused. In 9/11 and Oklahoma City, for example, subsequent investigation indicated that jet engine fuel and a sizable ANFO bomb by themselves could not have caused the structural damage to the World Trade Center Towers and Murrah Federal Building respectively.

Available video of the first bomb detonating at the Marathon finish line suggests a direct upward discharge rather than the horizontal dispersion that would have wreaked the havoc to lower limbs so widely reported in physicians’ statements.

Along these lines, despite the seemingly formidable explosions very few bodies and no severed limbs are observable on the ground, even though there are indeed several people exhibiting bewilderment and apparent injuries.

In short, the event closely resembles a mass-casualty drill, which for training purposes are designed to be as lifelike as possible. Since it is mediated, however, and primarily experienced from afar through the careful assemblage of words, images, and the official pronouncements and commentary of celebrity journalists, it has the semblance of being for all practical purposes “real.”

Below is footage of a “mass casualty exercise” conducted at the Community College of Aurora in Colorado that includes explanation and commentary from emergency drill and response experts coordinating the event.

Here is another video of a similar drill shot at Bagram military base in Afghanistan produced by US Army personnel .

Reports arising in the Boston bombing’s aftermath suggest how local authorities in possible coordination with the Department of Homeland Security were in the process of carrying out such drills, complete with the announcement of bombs being detonated and bomb-sniffing dogs present at the start and finish lines.

For example, University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, found it unusual how there were bomb sniffing dogs at the event’s start and finish lines. “They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it’s just a training exercise,” Stevenson remarked.[8]

Alternative news media have also pointed to the presence of what appear to be private military contractors in matching civilian apparel operating in coordination with an unmarked SUV close to the Marathon finish line. Identically-dressed men are observable before the bomb blasts in the immediate proximity of where the first bomb exploded and across the street thereafter.[9]

With the above in mind, photographic evidence of the event suggests the possibility of play actors getting into position after the detonation of what may in fact have been a smoke bomb or similarly benign explosive. Viewing at the immediate bomb blast from the following angle, one can see a dearth of people where the explosive is set off, suggesting how the immediate area may have been cleared before detonation.

Further, there is whispy smoke with no sign of any shrapnel piercing the smoke, the race sideline fabric, or anything outside of the sidewalk perimeter.

If this is the case the highly-circulated photo showing an orange-hued “fireball” explosion may have been embellished with a standard Youtube special effect of fake explosions for student videos.

The brothers' mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, knows that "9/11 was purposefully created by the American government to make America hate Muslims" and says that her sons are innocent patsies in yet another anti-Islam false flag operation.

Their father, Anzor Tsarnaev, agrees that his sons were set up as false-flag patsies: "Somebody clearly framed them. I don't know who exactly framed them, but they did."

Virtually everyone who knew the Tsarnaev brothers says they are obviously innocent, and obviously incapable of the crimes of which they are accused.

Here is Dzhokhar Tsarnaev protesting "I never done it. They set me up" in his last Facebook post before he was shot by police, unarmed and trying to peacefully surrender, and then handed over to "Israeli doctors." Shades of Lee Harvey Oswald's famous last words: "I'm just a patsy!"

The mainstream media, owned and operated by fanatical enemies of Islam, has spun these facts in an Orwellian attempt to make the Tsarnaevs look like "radical Muslims."

But wait a minute. Muslims who know that this kind of terrorism only benefits the enemies of Islam OBVIOUSLY would never commit such acts!

Despite being described as a “shootout,” the audio suggests that shots are only being fired in one direction by police and that the brothers are not returning fire at this point in the exchange.

The tape offers little proof as to the Tasrnaev brother’s guilt, but it follows a number of other intriguing caveats which some have offered as evidence that the suspects were framed and had no actual involvement in the bombings.

- A Facebook post attributed to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev although not authenticated reads, “This will be the last message before the police get me. I never done it. They set me up. Father please forgive me. I am sorry it has come to this.”

- The suspects’ mother Zubeidat Tsarnaeva continues to insist that her sons are innocent, telling the Associated Press, “It’s all lies and hypocrisy.”

- Tsarnaeva also claims that the FBI “were controlling his every step,” referring to Tamerlan Tasrnaev, and that both the FBI and the CIA were following the brothers since 2011.

- The aunt of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, claims that the footage which emerged of police arresting a naked uninjured man was her nephew, contradicting the official narrative that Tsarnaev was critically injured in a shootout and suggesting he may have been killed while in custody.

- Eyewitnesses to the shootout contradict claims by authorities that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev ran over his own brother in a car, stating instead that he was run over by police.

- Despite numerous images of other suspects with large black backpacks at the scene of the bombings, the FBI insisted that these photos not be deemed credible and that the Tasrnaev brothers were the only possible culprits.

Report: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s repeated requests for a lawyer were ignored

There is zero legal or ethical justification for denying a suspect in custody this fundamental right!

The initial debate over the treatment of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev focused on whether he should be advised of his Miranda rights or whether the "public safety exception" justified delaying it. In the wake of news reports that he had been Mirandized and would be charged in a federal court, I credited the Obama DOJ for handling the case reasonably well thus far. As it turns out, though, Tsarnaev wasn't Mirandized because the DOJ decided he should be. Instead, that happened only because a federal magistrate, on her own, scheduled a hospital-room hearing, interrupted the FBI's interrogation which had been proceeding at that point for a full 16 hours, and advised him of his right to remain silent and appointed him a lawyer. Since then, Tsarnaev ceased answering the FBI's questions.

But that controversy was merely about whether he would be advised of his Miranda rights. Now, the Los Angeles Times, almost in passing, reports something which, if true, would be a much more serious violation of core rights than delaying Miranda warnings - namely, that prior to the magistrate's visit to his hospital room, Tsarnaev had repeatedly asked for a lawyer, but the FBI simply ignored those requests, instead allowing the interagency High Value Detainee Interrogation Group to continue to interrogate him alone:



"Tsarnaev has not answered any questions since he was given a lawyer and told he has the right to remain silent by Magistrate Judge Marianne B. Bowler on Monday, officials said.

"Until that point, Tsarnaev had been responding to the interagency High Value Detainee Interrogation Group, including admitting his role in the bombing, authorities said. A senior congressional aide said Tsarnaev had asked several times for a lawyer, but that request was ignored since he was being questioned under the public safety exemption to the Miranda rule."

Delaying Miranda warnings under the "public safety exception" - including under the Obama DOJ's radically expanded version of it - is one thing. But denying him the right to a lawyer after he repeatedly requests one is another thing entirely: as fundamental a violation of crucial guaranteed rights as can be imagined. As the lawyer bmaz comprehensively details in this excellent post, it is virtually unheard of for the "public safety" exception to be used to deny someone their right to a lawyer as opposed to delaying a Miranda warning (the only cases where this has been accepted were when "the intrusion into the constitutional right to counsel ... was so fleeting – in both it was no more than a question or two about a weapon on the premises of a search while the search warrant was actively being executed"). To ignore the repeated requests of someone in police custody for a lawyer, for hours and hours, is just inexcusable and legally baseless.

As law school dean Erwin Chemerinsky explained in the Los Angeles Times last week, the Obama DOJ was already abusing the "public safety" exception by using it to delay Miranda warnings for hours, long after virtually every public official expressly said that there were no more threats to the public safety. As he put it: "this exception does not apply here because there was no emergency threat facing law enforcement." Indeed, as I documented when this issue first arose, the Obama DOJ already unilaterally expanded this exception far beyond what the Supreme Court previously recognized by simply decreeing (in secret) that terrorism cases justify much greater delays in Mirandizing a suspect for reasons well beyond asking about public safety.

But that debate was merely about whether Tsarnaev would be advised of his rights. This is much more serious: if the LA Times report is true, then it means that the DOJ did not merely fail to advise him of his right to a lawyer but actively blocked him from exercising that right. This is a US citizen arrested for an alleged crime on US soil: there is no justification whatsoever for denying him his repeatedly exercised right to counsel. And there are ample and obvious dangers in letting the government do this. That's why Marcy Wheeler was arguing from the start that whether Tsarnaev would be promptly presented to a federal court - as both the Constitution and federal law requires - is more important than whether he is quickly Mirandized. Even worse, if the LA Times report is accurate, it means that the Miranda delay as well as the denial of his right to a lawyer would have continued even longer had the federal magistrate not basically barged into the interrogation to advise him of his rights.

I'd like to see more sources for this than a single anonymous Congressional aide, though the LA Times apparently concluded that this source's report was sufficiently reliable. The problem is that we're unlikely to get much transparency on this issue because to the extent that national politicians in Washington are complaining about Tsarnaev's treatment, their concern is that his rights were not abused even further:


"Lawmakers were told Tsarnaev had been questioned for 16 hours over two days. Injured in the throat, he was answering mostly in writing.

"'For those of us who think the public safety exemption properly applies here, there are legitimate questions about why he was [brought before a judge] when he was,' said Rep. Adam B. Schiff (D-Burbank), a former federal prosecutor who serves on the House Intelligence Committee.

"Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), chairman of the committee, wrote Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. asking for a full investigation of the matter, complaining that the court session 'cut off a lawful, ongoing FBI interview to collect public safety information.'"

So now the Washington "debate" is going to be whether (a) the Obama DOJ should have defied the efforts of the federal court to ensure Tsarnaev's rights were protected and instead just violated his rights for even longer than it did, or (b) the Obama DOJ violated his rights for a sufficient amount of time before "allowing" a judge into his hospital room. That it is wrong to take a severely injured 19-year-old US citizen and aggressively interrogate him in the hospital without Miranda rights, without a lawyer, and (if this report is true) actively denying him his repeatedly requested rights, won't even be part of that debate. As Dean Chemerinsky wrote:


"Throughout American history, whenever there has been a serious threat, people have proposed abridging civil liberties. When that has happened, it has never been shown to have made the country safer. These mistakes should not be repeated. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should be investigated, prosecuted and tried in accord with the US Constitution."

There is no legal or ethical justification for refusing the request for someone in custody to have a lawyer present. If this report is true, what's most amazing is not that his core rights were so brazenly violated, but that so few people in Washington will care. They're too busy demanding that his rights should have been violated even further.

UPDATE

In March of last year, the New York Times' Editorial Page Editor, Andrew Rosenthal - writing under the headline "Liberty and Justice for Non-Muslims" - explained: "it's rarely acknowledged that the [9/11] attacks have also led to what's essentially a separate justice system for Muslims." Even if you're someone who has decided that you don't really care about (or will actively support) rights abridgments as long as they are applied to groups or individuals who you think deserve it, these violations always expand beyond their original application. If you cheer when Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's right to counsel is denied, then you're enabling the institutionalization of that violation, and thus ensuring that you have no basis or ability to object when that right is denied to others whom you find more sympathetic (including yourself).

UPDATE II [Tues.]

For those who are still having trouble comprehending the point that objections to rights violations are not grounded in "concern over a murderer" but rather concern over what powers the government can exercise - just as objections to the US torture regime were not grounded in concern for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed - perhaps the great American revolutionary Thomas Paine can explain the point, from his 1795 A Dissertation on the First Principles of Government:


"He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself."

That's the same principle that led then-lawyer-and-revolutionary John Adams to vigorously defend five British soldiers (of the hated occupying army) accused of one of the most notorious crimes of the revolutionary period: the 1770 murder of five colonists in Boston as part of the so-called Boston Massacre. As the ACLU explained, no lawyers were willing to represent the soldiers because "of the virulent anti-British sentiment in Boston" and "Adams later wrote that he risked infamy and even death, and incurred much popular suspicion and prejudice."

Ultimately, Adams called his defense of these soldiers "one of the most gallant, generous, manly and disinterested actions of my whole life, and one of the best pieces of service I ever rendered my country." That's because Adams understood what Paine understood: if you permit the government to trample upon the basic rights of those whom you hate, then you're permitting the government to trample upon those rights in general, for everyone.

This is not a platitude they were invoking but an undeniable historical truth. Governments know that their best opportunity to institutionalize rights violations is when they can most easily manipulate the public into acquiescing to them by stoking public emotions of contempt against the individual target. For the reasons Paine and Adams explained, it is exactly in such cases - when public rage finds its most intense expression - when it is necessary to be most vigilant in defense of those rights.

The CIA is well-known to be a family agency that includes “legacies” in extremely key, or sensitive positions. Katherine’s character in the Tsarnaev story should be looked at more closely, even if, for reasons still yet unknown, she is being completely ignored, and totally unchallenged by the mainstream media. Was she the driving force behind his alleged jihadism, or was she merely keeping a close eye on him?

I would be good for America to know more about Katherine Russell. Her mere presence in this story is an anomaly in itself – one which does not add up at all.

When she is called on to do the talk show circuit, or when her book deal goes live – America will be listening very closely to her story for sure.

In addition to all this… Ruslan Tsarni was also married to the daughter of former top CIA official Graham Fuller. Coincidence?

Uncle Ruslan: The ‘man in the middle’ alleges patsies are guilty without trial

Aside from the already documented evidence of the FBI interfacing with the elder Tamerlan Tsarnaev over a 5 year span, we have also placed him at a CIA front NGO conference in Russia, as well as highlighted how incredibly well-connected his now famous Uncle Ruslan Tsarni (his name was changed from Tsarnaev to ‘Tsarni” at some point in the past) is with his ties to some major geopolitical strategic oil ventures in Kazakstan and Central Asia, as well as organised crime figures in the former Soviet countries and the historical CIA-trojan horse organisation known as USAID.

Incredibly, just last September 2012, the Kremlin requested the U.S. close its USAID office in Moscow, with Putin claiming that the NGO was being used to create various opposition group in Russia and being used by Washington to try and unseat him from power. Much has been made of the Tsarnaevs’ loose “Chechen ethnic roots”, a long favoured jihadist hot button for Washington DC and Saudi Arabia in their bid to antagonise Russia.

Regarding the crucial issue of Kazakhstan oil and the CPC & BTC Oil pipelines – all of which Ruslan Tsarni has been a key player in organising, author John Laughland explains, “the leading group which pleads the Chechen cause is the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC). The list of the self-styled ‘distinguished Americans’ who are its members is a roll call of the most prominent neoconservatives who so enthusiastically support the ‘war on terror.’
“They include Richard Perle, the notorious Pentagon adviser; Elliott Abrams of Iran-Contra fame; Kenneth Adelman, the former US ambassador to the UN who egged on the invasion of Iraq by predicting it would be ‘a cakewalk’; Midge Decter, biographer of Donald Rumsfeld and a director of the rightwing Heritage Foundation; Frank Gaffney of the militarist Centre for Security Policy; Bruce Jackson, former US military intelligence officer and one-time vice-president of Lockheed Martin, now president of the US Committee on Nato; Michael Ledeen of the American Enterprise Institute, a former admirer of Italian fascism and now a leading proponent of regime change in Iran; and R. Tamerlan attends CIA run conference in Russia last year

We now know that the ACPC was later sanitised from “Chechnya”, and rebranded to “Caucasus”, now called the “American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus”, the same organisation which held an event attended by none other than Tamerlan Tsarnaev in the summer of 2012 – an event that was organised by the Jamestown Foundation – another known CIA front, which is part of a vast network “controlled by Freedom House (George Soros) and linked to the CIA” according to Voltaire Network.

Hence, any change in US-Russia policies which may result from the Boston event should be view in the context of what we’ve outlined above.

Uncle Ruslan was married to CIA head’s daughter

In addition to all this… Ruslan Tsarni was also married to the daughter of former top CIA official Graham Fuller. Coincidence? Madcow Morning News explains here:

The discovery that Uncle Ruslan Tsarni had spy connections that go far deeper than had been previously known is ironic, especially since the mainstream media’s focus yesterday was on a feverish search to find who might have recruited the Tsarnaev brothers.
(…) At the time of their marriage, Ruslan Tsarni was known as Ruslan Tsarnaev, the same last name as his nephews Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the alleged bombers.
It is unknown when he changed his last name to Tsarni.

What is known is that sometime in the early 1990’s, while she was a graduate student in North Carolina, and he was in law school at Duke, Ruslan Tsarnaev met and married Samantha Ankara Fuller, the daughter of Graham and Prudence Fuller of Rockville Maryland. Her middle name suggests a reference to one of her father’s CIA postings.

The couple divorced sometime before 2004.

Today Ms. Fuller lives abroad, and is a director of several companies pursuing strategies to increase energy production from clean-burning and renewable resources.

On a more ominous note, Graham Fuller was listed as one of the American Deep State rogues on Sibel Edmonds’ State Secrets Privilege Gallery. Edmonds explained it featured subjects of FBI investigations she became aware of during her time as an FBI translator. ”

Hand in Hand - CIA and Skull and Bones

The CIA fraternity is a tight group often bound together by a network of trusted generational family connections running like a vein throughout the agency. Yale University’s elite Skull and Bones fraternity provides legacy framework for an elite inner circle of US intelligence insiders, and whose graduates include Cabinet members, Senators, Presidents and of course, former heads of the CIA.

Now we can add Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s mysterious Anglo-Saxon ‘Islamic convert’ wife, Katherine Russell into the mix as a person of interest, and pose the question whether or not both Tamerlan and his Uncle Ruslan could have been in fact handled in some way… through their unusually well-connected wives?

Either way, this stands as yet another unbelievable coincidence surrounding key faces in the Boston Bombings.

Coincidentally, the name Russell plays a central role in American secret societies and many believe that they preside over one of the most influential legacies in American history.

The New Normal: All Boston Bombing Patsies Interrogated Without Counsel

According to lawyers Derege Demissie and Susan Church, Robel Phillipos, the teenager accused of lying to investigators after the Boston Marathon bombings, was interrogated without the benefit of a lawyer.

“This case is about a frightened and confused 19 year old who was subjected to intense questioning and interrogation, without the benefit of counsel, and in the context of one of the worst attacks against the nation,” the lawyers wrote. “The weight of the federal government under such circumstances can have a devastatingly crushing effect on the ability of an adolescent to withstand the enormous pressure and respond rationally.”

The Sixth Amendment states:

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.

In Brewer v. Williams (1977) the court ruled that once an adversary proceeding has begun against a defendant, he has a right to legal representation when the government interrogates him.

It is unclear if the suspect was given his Miranda rights notification. Dzhokar Tsarnaev had asked several times for a lawyer, but that request was ignored because he was being interrogated under the public safety exemption to the Miranda rule. Obama’s DOJ has unilaterally expanded the exception far beyond what the Supreme Court has established.

DOJ boss Holder and the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Mike Rogers, complained about Tsarnaev’s appearance before a judge and his right to counsel. They have called for an investigation.

If Phillipos was indeed denied counsel during his interrogation, it is another indication that the government will arrogantly ignore the Sixth and the Fifth amendments in criminal cases it defines as terrorism.

As the Indefinite Detention clause of the NDAA demonstrates, the government is determined to use the war on terror as an excuse to violate the rights of Americans. “The statute is particularly dangerous because it has no temporal or geographic limitations, and can be used by this and future presidents to militarily detain people captured far from any battlefield,” the ACLU noted after Obama signed the bill into law.

Mission Creep Police State

The government is determined to exploit the war on terror to increase its reach. The Department of Homeland Security was established in late 2002 for the purpose of responding to terrorist attacks, man-made accidents, and natural disasters. It has since declared it is “responsible for investigating a wide range of domestic and international activities arising from the illegal movement of people and goods” and “immigration crime, human rights violations and human smuggling, smuggling of narcotics, weapons and other types of contraband, financial crimes, cybercrime and export enforcement issues.”

“September 11 provided the federal government with a bullet-proof excuse to further absorb and integrate state and local law enforcement, a project that has been underway at least since the late 1960s,” I wrote last March.

Over the last decade, the feds have established a number of efforts to nationalize law enforcement and create a number of organizations designed to supposedly “protect the homeland” from not only terrorists – most handled by the FBI and the CIA – but all sorts of domestic criminals, including those who engage in victimless crimes such as drug use and prostitution.

There are now dozens of organizations feeding off tax dollars dispensed by the feds – from FEMA’s Citizen Corps to Volunteers in Police Service and Infragard and beyond. In many ways, these federally-funded and organized groups rival the police state apparatus active in Nazi Germany and Stalin’s Soviet Union.

The DHS has strived to incorporate non-terrorist crime into its ever-growing agenda – and subsequently promote its raison d’être as another federal agency lining up at the tax trough to gobble up billions of dollars of wealth confiscated from the producers.

For example, the DHS now “protects victims” from “domestic violence and other violent crimes” that have nothing to do with the late CIA asset Osama bin Laden or the would-be nineteen hijackers who trained on U.S. military bases. The mega-bureaucracy now doles out money to everything from “Juvenile Accountability” to anti-counterfeiting, border security, and computer incident response.

But it really shines when it comes to acting as a political surveillance tool for the establishment. It has successfully exploited the global jihad terror myth to spy on antiwar and patriot groups and recently the Occupy movement. So-called fusion centers – centralized high-tech Orwellian snoop hubs – now dot the landscape and feed data into the DHS leviathan.

In order for a police state to work effectively, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights must be subverted and rendered useless as well. Political enemies of the elite must not be allowed access to counsel or appear before judges.

Stan Monteith “Grandpa Liberty”, Dr. Stan Monteith, a 50-year veteran researcher of alternative information suppressed by the mass media, a radio broadcaster since 1993, and a 35-year orthopedic surgeon who has performed many leg amputations said (starting at 1:06) concerning the Boston Marathon bombings on the May 8, 2013 episode of Radio Liberty (emphasis mine and pause words removed):

“I wanted to just call to your attention the Boston bombing on April 15. What really happened? And I’ll tell you, I don’t know what happened. But I know that they’re lying to us.

And basically, I know that they’re lying to us because of a picture that I saw on that very first day. It was a devastating picture. It was a fellow that had both legs blown off. A young man sitting in a wheelchair, being wheeled, certainly by a gentleman — a cowboy figure — who had a cowboy hat on and he was actually holding a tourniquet on the left leg, which was a below knee amputation, and there below, certainly, the stump of the below knee amputation, was the tibia — a bloody tibia — sitting and certainly, but the interesting thing is why the tourniquet wasn’t applied.

The tourniquet was just sort of underneath the leg, holding it up, it wasn’t stopping any flow of blood because there wasn’t hardly flow of blood on that side. It looked like there was some blood on the right leg which was taken off above the knee. But why would they take somebody who had just had both legs blown off and put him into a wheelchair? He would’ve been in profound shock. And why weren’t the tourniquets on both legs, certainly clamping off the blood supply? And when I saw that, I knew something was wrong.

And then of course as you know, I was a trauma surgeon for many years, I was an orthopedic surgeon. And basically, I looked at that below knee amputation on the left side, and it was a well-healed below knee amputation stump, and certainly, the kind that I would’ve done. I did many, many times, so people could wear prostheses. And there was no tear in the skin, no blood, no nothing at all — just a bloody tibia sticking out of the end — and it looked like it had been attached to this stump. Why would they do something like that?

And then of course, we’re told, this fellow’s name was Jeff Bauman. Some people said he was actually a lieutenant who had lost both legs in Afghanistan. He had a different name, but that gentleman had two above knee amputations, not below knee amputations, and this was definitely a below knee amputation, and I puzzled over this for some time.

Until, until recently, and you can get this on the internet, you can see these pictures for yourself, until basically, Jeff Bauman, 19 days after losing both legs, why, he was let out of the rehab hospital. How could that happen?

It takes a long time after you’ve lost both legs, you know, to get prostheses fitted, to get strong enough, and get the strength in your arms., but 19 days after the attack there in Boston, why this young man, Jeff Bauman, went to the Boston Bruins hockey game, and you can see pictures of him — go up on the internet.

And you can see pictures of him — he’s waving a flag, and he has two above knee amputations. Above knee amputations. Now wait a minute, the Jeff Bauman we saw initially had a below knee amputation and this is an above knee amputation.

I puzzled over that. How could that be, until I talked to a gentleman named Jim Fetzer who will be a guest in our programs and we said he was wearing a prosthesis, they put a prosthesis on him. There are even pictures where the prosthesis accidentally fell off, so they put the prosthesis on to give you the idea that it was a fresh amputation — it wasn’t, it was all contrived.

Look at the pictures, ladies and gentlemen — ask yourself, how could he have possibly have had a BK amputation in the initial pictures and now he has two AK amputations? We’re being lied to at every turn.”

Then, at 34:44:

“Of course I’ve tried to call the Spaulding Rehab Center on three occasions, and of course, I’ve tried to talk to the fellow there in charge of the press, and he always says if you’re from the media, and you certainly have a deadline, give us a call. We keep calling and leaving a number and we never get a call back. And the only reason I can think that that is because the last thing they want is for the media to know that this whole picture, this picture that was implanted in our minds, and there was articles in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal about Jeff Bauman who lost both legs there, this is all fraudulent. And if that is fraudulent, then what else is fraudulent?

And quite frankly, we don’t know, ladies and gentlemen, if they had this whole thing contrived. And I believe that this young man was an actor.“

2 FBI Agents Involved in Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s Arrest “FALL” Out of Helicopter and Die

Remember that scene in Scarface?

Two members of the FBI’s elite counterterrorism unit died Friday while practicing how to quickly drop from a helicopter to a ship using a rope, the FBI announced Monday in a statement.

The statement gave few details regarding the deaths of Special Agents Christopher Lorek and Stephen Shaw, other than to say the helicopter encountered unspecified difficulties and the agents fell a “significant distance.”

Last month, the team was involved in the arrest of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings. And in February, it rescued a 5-year-old boy held hostage for six days in an underground bunker in Alabama.

“Whenever things go really wrong, the FBI calls in the Hostage Rescue Team. It’s the government’s 911,” Coulson said.

Irvin Wells, a former FBI special agent who retired in 1990 after leading the Norfolk field office for three years, stressed that the Hostage Rescue Team is different from the FBI’s regular SWAT teams. He noted that agents assigned to a field office’s SWAT team also must perform other jobs inside the bureau, while agents assigned to the Hostage Rescue Team have no other duties.
