Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Quote:The Lucian Kim article accuses the Crimea documentary of insinuation, montage, distortion, and claiming (false) things as 'facts' without supporting evidence. You posited that Kim's article was leaving out supporting evidence that was actually in the documentary. I invited you to watch the documentary and locate this evidence, if it exists.

By Putin? A single-source news article that gets quoted, repeated and cited in 20 different msm media sources (as long as you cite more than one of them)?

Quote:That's why I go to foreign press. Fortunately, I can piece together whatever is in French and Spanish. I can scan the headlines in German, at least, to see what they're talking ABOUT. Unfortunately, I have to rely on translators to tell me about the rest. But I do the best I can ... I do look at the English-language version Xinhua, and Novosti, and the Straits Times, for example. I have the Kyiv Post and the BBC on my list of sites that I scan regularly. Even if I don't have time to read the articles, it's important to know what's making it into the news ... what's being forwarded by each nation's MSM. It's a good indication of what's being covered, and -more importantly- what's NOT being covered. Seeing what's in their media is a good indication of policies to come.

Quote:I called her on it and she admitted that she was doing things "differently." Didn't give details, but I figure that, for some reason, she had to give up her old shtick of tweaking Rap's tail.
Quote:Her new thing is more fun, imho, though only in small doses. ;)
