I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

I will be good for six years, so Obama and the next President (whoever it is) will have the authority to negotiate international trade deals, without Congress being able to modify it.

Republicans were mostly for it, and Democrats mostly against. (But enough caved to pass the bill)

At issue is the upcoming TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) which place the adjudication of American environmental, labor, and other profit-diminishing laws into international trade-tribunals. Basically, relinquishing American sovereignty to international corporations.

After that is the TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership), which is the Atlantic version of the TTP.

Every trade deal so far has butt-fucked average Americans. But trade deals are what American Presidents DO, whether they are Democrats (Clinton and NAFTA) or Republicans (George W Bush and the WTO).

Thank you, sir! May I have another!
