FREMDFIRMA

This post is in response to a couple folk actually having a little more concern about our surveillence than expected, and some of these tactics were initially kept under wraps, but by now the goon squad knows they exist, though they have not been too successful in countermeasures.

#1 - Poisoning the well.

Any time someone demands information for you they have no rightful need to, LIE.

They're lying to you about it's purpose and why they want it, so this is only fair, make it good too, memorize a fake address, one especially nice place to claim residence is Centralia PA, zipcode 17927.

The joke is, that this is the town that inspired the game and film Silent Hill...

It's a ghost town, nobody lives there, and that zipcode has been officially revoked by the US Postal Service.

#2 - A Pox of poison!

Another thing you can do is deliberately and maliciously feed the miners false data, I mean spend a couple hours just downright flooding them with it, variations of your name, address, etc - but just enough, like a first name, or the street name, correct so they pick it up and file it, but all the rest junk, and change which thing is accurate randomly in every listing.

The intent is to flood them with so much trash, that no listing can ever be assumed as accurate.

As of late, some countermeasures have been set against this, but they are easily subverted, especially if you are doing this from a free email box that you ALSO gave false information and intend to dispose of immediately after use.

#3 - The target is Midway!

Now if you have a sharp memory, you can stock a few phony name/address combos and offer then to different requests, and when junkmail or telemarking calls come in, match that up and figure out WHO sold you out by which name they use.

This can easily be turned against them as you then feed them their own marketing directors address as Mr. Pound Sand, while harrassing HIM on the phone with recorded sales pitches, from a pre-pay phone you'll blowtorch once you're done with it for this and other purposes.

#4 - Return postage gauranteed!

Oh goody, get something nice and heavy.. the postal guys know what a brick weighs now and kinda get snippy, but various cheap garden tiles are right nice, if you want to cost them something and have some laying around.

Or, you grab a manila envelope, stick all the OTHER junk mail it it, and quicktape the stupid thing on as a label, and it saves you the trouble of pitching the crap, heh.

#5 - Disguisemail, yark!

This is the shit disguised to look like a bill, court summons, or various official stuff, sometimes borderline or even outright illegal in this distortion.

What you do with THESE guys, is feed their address to the free mailing lists of various porn product corporations.

#6 - Show me some ID!

Fuck this, the only one who gets to see the drivers license is someone who by virtue of the State outguns me, anyone with half a brain, a lazer printer and a laminating kit can make their own "Picture ID" suitible for the purpose of identifying oneself...

Even better if you have a sense of humor about it, my rather officious looking "Official Cat Herding License" has been a big hit with some folk.
(Great pic too, me in a sheperds robe and crook, holding a cat)

#7 - Smile, your on NOT WORKING CAMERA!

Primary method of discreet camera disablement is to approach from the side at an oblique angle and mist with a personal hygiene product that will leave a lasting film on the lens or lenscover - since it is not outright destruction, there's not much they can do to you over it.

Some deodorant sprays are especially good for this as they leave a film that takes a bit of work to physically remove.

Oh, and did I mention that many cameras use infrared to set focus range or enhance ambient lighting ?

There are various ways to munge this up pretty good.

http://www.slashgear.com/surveillance-cam-blinder-2010369.php

#8 - Keep your radar to yourself!

I will not directly list it, since actually using it against a cops illegal radar painting, is in itself illegal - what an irony, yes ?

(Wonderful bit of legal debate and confusion, there, isn't it ?)

But there are indeed units out there capable of munging up police radar, formerly known as a Bollix or Bollucks unit, and some of the newer ones can munge up Lidar as well, bout $150 USD for an el cheapo, $300 or so for something actually useful.

#9 - Oh, was that me ? Prove it!

When selecting voice cover or distortion software, you don't need to go whole hog and sound like darth vader, all you need to do is insert enough of an electronic edit that no voiceprint will ever match.

And you can get shareware or freeware apps to do this.

#10 - Anonymous web browsing ?

Forget it, ok, right off - not bloody likely.

Just like using a payphone (you know they're all tapped and routed into a central database to prevent drug transactions, right ?) to dodge phone line surveillance, almost every single "anonymous" browser or search engine is going to feed you to the goon squad WITH a red flag, and why ?

Cause A- that is who owns them.
Cause B- you apparently got something to hide.

Anonymiser, et. al. will actually roll you FASTER than Google or Yahoo, and they WILL keep records, in detail, it's bullshit, an easy "gimme" case for the federales, just like buying dope straight from a federale plant.

Your only real methodology is to use TOR, in combination with some form of modified tripwire software to maybe see who's peeking if they overplay their hand.

TOR - http://www.torproject.org/
TRIPWIRE - http://www.cs.washington.edu/research/security/webtripwires.html

Don't mess with this stuff if you don't know what yer doing, the result would suck.

#11 - Be careful what you scan for!

RFID ? simple- use or build your own blocker chip, and fuck RSA and the thought that they can copyright an idea they STOLE from us to begin with.
http://www.rsa.com/rsalabs/node.asp?id=2060

Their R&D cost for that was jack shit, they ripped it straight off our guys entire, and should they ever try to actually market it, we'll have their ass cause we can prove it.
(See Also: THE ANNIHILATION OF ANGKOR APEIRON)
(See Also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fictitious_entry )

But all it takes is one screamer chip, ours is nested on a business card you can simply slip into the back of your wallet somewhere and fugheddaboutit.

That's all I really got time for, but I rather hope I'm not the only one willing to offer such.

HERO

Much of what the previous post advises may be illegal.

Therefore, if you intend to follow his advice please remember that these things tend to not work out the way you hope they will. Please remember that you almost always get caught...always, and the fella that does not get caught is not going to be you no matter how clever you are (it might work out for some other fella, but not for you). Sure, your a clever fellow I'm sure, but so is EVERY other thief and liar I've ever put in jail. So clever, they got caught, prosecuted, convicted, and jailed.

My advice is to limit access to your information as best you can, but be aware that sometimes that is not possible. Please be aware of who you are giving information to and under what circumstances. In some cases you may be committing fraud, identity theft, harassment, falsification, or even purjury if you fail to tell the truth.

There is also much to be said for doing the right thing. Be truthful but cautious in your dealings with others. Hold true to your own values of honosty and trust in your prudence to protect you from those who would exploit or prey upon your ethical adherance.

Odds are people will come after you either way, so its better to be sitting on the high moral ground so that your word can be tried and true come what may.

Can it, Zero - people like you are part of the problem.

Just because spying on people, stealing their personal information and selling it, often to scammers and criminals, especially after extorting it under threat of financial barriers or blacklisting, may be legal...

Does not make it right.

And to make self-defense or retaliation against such morally putrefactant measures illegal...

Does not make it wrong.

What you are advocating, is in essence, that it's ok to be a liar, and a thief, on the behalf of the State or a Corporation, but not the peons under their dominion ?

I reject that, categorically - if you want my info, you'd best have a damned compelling reason to ask it, or you must be offering something equal in it's value for the exchange.

Funny words from someone who, as a lawyer, fully understands the argument against stealing information such as music or works of literature, and yet you cannot see the legal application of stealing information of a more personal nature from someone who did NOT agree to hand it over ?

I call bullshit, and state Hoyles Law - the same rules must apply to both sides, which they do not due to the States consistency in ignoring the Fourth Amendment, one of the very foundations of our legal system and giving lie to the entire process.

See, I name my personal information amongst my "effects", as it rightfully is.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Common Sense applies to that interpretation meaning ones personal information, and it's violation by any Corporation should be properly regarded as a crime.

But the selective enforcement of the law practiced by the State belies any notion of Constitutional Compliance, it's a gross falsehood both on the face of it and in depth, because you are NOT in compliance with that document, nothing you say or do has any legal relevance, nor weight, since you yourself are not in it's Compliance when attempting to force it, albeit in distorted form, upon me.

This exact kind of selective enforcement and Judicial Distortion and Reinterpretation of the iron-clad, common sense meanings of that document is why Jury Nullification exists, as a defense specificially against social predators and parasites like yourself and their collaborators on the bench.

http://www.fija.org/

So take your goddamn jack booted KGB scare tactics somewhere else, you and the phoney boogeymen the State likes to hold up to frighten the gullible into compliance do not scare me, and for someone who makes their living off of the violation of the public trust, and treachery against the honest, for you to be advocating the very behaviors that make your prey easier to victimize is such a painfully obvious reminder of what you really are that no one needs to look twice to know it, that's for sure.

When a potential mugger asks you how much money you have, why should you tell them the truth, when you know up front both why they are asking and what they plan to do with that information.

There is of course also, the plain and simple fact that YOUR allies do lie, and commit crimes, in the performance of their duties, and yet you'd have it so that us citizens cannot ?

But handling them is as easy as handling you - like all information thieves, they should be offered a wall of silence and refusal to comply with their extortive demands.
http://www.geocities.com/northstarzone/COPS.html

Just remember the mantra.
"I wish to remain silent."
"I do not consent to this search."
"Get my lawyer."
"Am I free to go now ?"

Lather, rinse, repeat - if they're going to kick your ass and claim you resisted, they're gonna do it, and you can thank dickheads like Zero and selective enforcement for that, cause elements of the State have an 'gentlemans agreement' (Read: Asshole Bargain) with the prosecutors to only come down hard on the servants, not the masters.

Let's not split hairs here, Zero - we're both crooks, but you're the STATES crook, and violate the law on their behalf against the citizens the law is supposed to protect, and I am the citizens crook, violating the law that is supposed to protect them, but instead makes them easy victims for predators like you.

Dress it up however you like, it doesn't change the facts of the matter.

Your power lies in peoples fear, you want them afraid because that makes them dependant on you and the rest of the States machinery - but you don't scare me, and you now what... I think the general public is getting less and less frightened, and more and more angry.

And were I you, I'd be perhaps a little concerned about that.

Good in theory.

But you'll want to make sure there is no personal information on the computer, or that you've got a secure firewall blocking access. Secure like not comercial.

SERGEANTX

Ahhh... A topic near and dear to my heart.

I was listening to a techie show on an NPR station a few years back and they were interviewing a security expert, who worked for a government agency, about how to protect your privacy online. One schmoe called in whining about how "you just can't do anything online these days without providing your personal information". In her best get-a-clue voice, the expert explained that the obvious solution was to just avoid any sites that asked for the info.

When the caller persisted, complaining about how unfair it was that he didn't get to use these services, she replied "Or, you could just do what a great many people are now doing and lie whenever an online service insists on information you don't wish to divulge. In general it's not illegal to lie under such circumstances unless there's some intent to defraud."

It can actually be great fun and good for keeping the creative juices flowing. My kids used to get the biggest tickle out of going through the checkout counter with me. The best thing is to be as obvious as possible about the lie, and then, if they have the guts to call you on it, become irate at their insulting accusation. "Are you calling me a liar??!?! 'Goshma Balzidge' is my given name and I'll thank you not to mock it! I'm taking my business elsewhere!!!"

Hehe... that's a goodern, Hero. I'm not sure what you're smoking to spew such gibberish, but I'm betting that it's illegal.

Despite your authoritarian wet dreams, and despite the propaganda we're flooded with daily, the simple fact is that the vast majority of crimes are never solved and most criminals don't get caught. Especially when you consider that so many of the criminals are working for the government in the first place (maybe even as prosecutors )
