I kinda figured pissing off Amy Goodman was a bad idea for the powers that be...

Especially interesting is this...

"The Army Times piece includes a correction stating that the forces would not use nonlethal weaponry domestically."

First off, there's a little glaring and obvious omission there, yes ?

Second, if they're not going to use em in Iraq, and not going to use em domestically - then why were the goddamn things issued to them ?

Come ON folk, that makes no fucking sense.

And that's from the folk that told us the ADS pain beam unit would never, ever, not a chance in hell be used on american citizens, while drooling voluminously over doing - EXACTLY THAT.

So it's not like they have any credibility on that front.

And yes, there's a subtle but strongly implied threat in this article, cause Miss Goodman has apprently decided that the powers that be are not her friends, having faced certain unpleasant realities down at the RNC.

I do believe they'll come to regret pissing her off, substantially so, since she's made quite a few contacts who were also on the receiving end of the police states lash that day, most of whom are quite willing to share information and do on-site research or even outright reporting to back her play in this.

Everytime the jackboot comes down, all it does is swell the forces raised against it, and like holding a fistfull of sand, the tighter they squeeze, the less they wind up holding.
