I told Mikey I might post this, and what the hell, imma do it.

Ok, first you need to understand how this works.

Now, one thing you MUST admit and understand is that everyone will break at some point, it's inevitable, the important thing is to make damn sure to poison the well good and thorough BEFORE that happens.

See,

They start out easy, asking softball questions they mostly know the answers to in order to form a baseline, much the way a polygraph operator does, but in this case using a threat/reward system, with the assumption that if you answer the questions and cooperate, the torture won't happen.

This is a lie, it's GOING to happen, and accepting that fact is a big part of doin the job right - they just want that baseline so that they can cross-compare when they start breakin fingers or whatever.

So what do you do, right up front you tell em the bald, unvarnished truth without giving away anything of real significance, mixed in with a lot of "I don't know" - but you deliberately do this in an unconvincing fashion, throw in little pauses at random, shy from eye contact, scratch your face like you've got an itch, all the behavior that just SCREAMS deception to even the most half-ass interrogator.

Of course, they won't believe you - even if you turned coat and spilled they still wouldn't, it's part of the game, you see.

So then they start with softening you up, starvation, sleep deprivation, stress positions, just stuff to wear down your will by turning your own human needs against you.

What you do is USE this time, while your mind is still clear enough to do it, to come up with a second story, a nice little fiction as clean, clear and simple as you can make it, and drill it into your own head as solid as you can, sing it to yourself in your head, make poetry out of it, recite it over and over with different naunces and delivery, start to finish, back to front and piece by piece.

Soon enough they'll get to stage two of the softening up, a little push-n-shove, slap-n-kick general rough up action, but you give em the first story still, along with a nice little "I'm telling you all I know!" tantrum and melodramatic, obviously fake emotional breakdown.

This generally provokes them to get to the real business too quick, while you're still mentally clear enough to hold out a bit.

And now they get to the real rough stuff, waterboarding, electrodes, fingernail pullin, and alla that, I'll spare you the gory details...

NOW you tell em that second story, in randomly selected bits and pieces, and you STICK TO IT AS LONG AS YOU CAN.

This isn't gonna stop em, cause they're gonna take it as far as they're gonna and your actions one way or the other will have utterly no effect on the process - the goons doing the work often as not ain't the ones evaluating the data anyhow, they're just tapin it for someone else, so nothing YOU do is gonna affect the outcome or make em stop anyhows.

At some point, and it's different with everyone, but at some point for anyone - you'll feel your sense of reality begin to slide a little, and now it's time to go for broke, NOW you fuck with them, mock them, taunt them, start making shit up, completely outrageous and wacky shit like PN on a bad day, while laughing about it, cause at that point it does become kinda funny in itself, and it will severely unnerve and distract the goons doing the work.

Won't stop em though, and soon enough you'll just be rambling on without really having much clue yourself what you're saying since your own mental clarity will go to shit in a hurry, but in every lucid moment you can manage, throw some more wrenches in the works - invest what little mental effort you've got in convincing yourSELF the second story is the stone truth, even if you must break your own sense of reality to do it, which is tenous enough at the time you may pull it off.

Now either they'll get done with you, or kill you eventually, but that was gonna happen from the very beginning, and wasn't something you had any control over.

They're gonna pitch that first story as bullshit to avoid being tortured, and since they've ALREADY discredited it, when bits and pieces of it show up later when you do crack, they'll class that as attempts to resist and discard those also, since you poisoned that well up front on them.

They MIGHT buy the second story, and even if they do swallow it whole what do they have ?
Nothing.

And if they don't buy into either one, they ain't got jack shit neither cause by that time you'll be obviously bonkers enough to be of no USE to them as an info source, if they ain't already killed ya.

And so, you win.

And if you think some of them berks down at Gitmo ain't done EXACTLY this to us, particularly ole KSM, then you're dreamin.

Our personnel these days know jack diddly shit about getting information out of someone, have zero concept of the pyschologies they're dealing with or how to exploit their weaknesses, and in their stupidity and contempt go hands on not only due to their own incompetence, but also to assauge their own puny wounded egos, rabid nationalism and intolerance, which leads to a damn sloppy job of it on top of using the most ineffective and incompetent metholodogy.

I respectfully disagree.

The torture's gonna happen if its CIA/Pentagon S&M freaks, but you can still sue them or arrest them or hunt them down and kill them afterwards, so no reason to totally panic. No war lasts forever.

Rule 1 talking to cops: NEVER TALK, NEVER CONFESS, NEVER MAKE UP STORIES (OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE)

Rule 2: If you want to talk for tactical reasons, don't discuss the facts of the case. F with their heads if you REALLY have to. Discuss Operations Northwoods, Gladio, MKULTRA, Nurenburg, UCMJ re illegal orders and Law of War, US Constitution (they really hate that one), Bohemian Grove, anything to deprogram them, anything censored from their own training. They're more likely to tell you to shut up and go to the next slave, or their head might explode.

Rule 3: NEVER SIGN A CONFESSION!!!

Rule 4: Demand a lawyer at EVERY meeting.

Rule 5: Complain about the torture every day, giving details. You never know who might see that video, and it might be used as evidence of warcrimes.

Rule 6: Fight every traffic ticket, since trial by ordeal is the closest thing to torture that I've ever seen. Great practice for overpowering mind control, and refusal to consent to govt contracts.

If you can't handle traffic court, you'll never survive real torture.

My uncle was a POW in WW2, shot down over Germany in a B17 (machine gunner), 2 years in a death camp eating rat stew, death marches with broken legs and full of bullets walking past POWs hanging from the lampposts, then abandoned by the Nazis behind enemy lines in Commie Poland where no POWs were allowed to return after the war. Only the officers got serious torture by the Gestapo. After the war, he was invited to the White House to represent all POW MIAs of WW2. Now his daughter is a judge on the Tennessee Supreme Court. Most of it is by-the-book, in fact.

I just cleaned it up to a single-method systematic, since there's various alternative methods for different styles of vigorous interrogation.

There's also subtle mindgames to play on a non-physical interrogation, which depend on certain rules of the game, as it were.

For example, you'll note that a correctly trained (damn few of em) police interrogator will NEVER, EVER, EVER answer the suspects questions, no matter how innocent they might seem to be, because that shifts the information flow into a circle instead of a line, and a *smart* suspect can fucking turn that on you in a hurry.

I know I have.

You get that hook in while they're too distracted trying to intimidate you with something like "can I borrow your pen ?" (not only throwing them off, but causing THEM to do something at YOUR request, setting a mental precedent) or "did you remember to lock my car when you impounded it ?" (which distracts them while humanising you to them)

And from there to "You married ?" or "How did you wind up a cop ?" slipped in sideways once they feel they have established a rapport, heh heh.

And from there to detective Burns throwing a chair at me cause I told him his wife prolly dumped him due to him being a fat, lazy bum who couldn't get it up no more thanks to high blood pressure from stuffing his face instead of workin out.

Little clues, yes ?

I was actually quite innocent of the crime, as was the guy they arrested for it, who they held for almost a year while denying bail, trying to extort him into a plea bargain by holding the promise of release over his head, and postponing the case every time he plead not guilty, till someone put the arm on a judge who threw it out for lack of evidence and in light of someone showing him the check with which the supposed "victims" (insurance defrauders) paid detective Burns with.

Clamming up woulda put me in the cell next to Drake, so I pulled that bastards chain till he snapped, then when his buddies pulled me outta there and stuck me in an office while they calmed him down, I just mastercarded the door and walked right on out - at which point they needed a warrant they had a little trouble gettin for reasons I'll not share.

That's half the problem, is that a bunch of goat humping, smack talking shitheels out in the goddamn boonies of two misbegotten countries DO know this shit, and our supposedly-professional intel agency goons do not, because political reliability has over the years become far more important than competence - Colby was the last of a dying breed, and every one of em since has been a useless paper pusher who climbed up the ladder by using preparation H for lip gloss.

One thing I won't share the details on is how to effectively crack someone, but if you've been paying attention ya might pick up some right useful helpful hints, as it were...

And once you crack em, you're more than halfway to turning them, which you then exploit by causing other rank and file to make the call on whether to fish or cut bait - and either cause a civil war in the opposing ranks, with obvious avenues of exploitation, or if your proxy's support is large enough, an outright coup deposing it's current leadership and placing control of the whole damn thing in your hands, complete with existing infrastructure and personnel who are familiar with it, and a helpful management loyal to YOUR agenda.

As opposed to trying ineffectively to kill them all, which just swells the ranks and costs you resources, casualties, and eventually the support of your allies.

I pointed this out in far more subtle terms right here on more than one occasion, and it's why I consider our alphabet and mil-intel goons to be so utterly useless - brute force is the last refuge of the completely incompetent.
