Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

This was a foolish, abominable, and possibly illegal decision.

If they do not wish to sell a product, that is their right. But they can not be allowed to open a product, steal part of it, and then sell the product as new and whole.

I see they finally realized their actual legal option, but too late for many unhappy customers who have a right to be furious.

Looks to me like they owe everybody they ripped off a brand new, unopened copy of the game, complete with coupon and codes. After all, they paid for a NEW game, not a USED one.

I never much cared for GameStop, because I don't find their used prices to be cheap enough (I can usually find a new copy for the same price or less elsewhere). Now I have one less reason to shop there. If you don't want to sell the competition, just don't carry the game at all. After all, BestBuy has the option to not sell iTunes cards if they think it competes too much with their music retailing business.

Don't even get me started on them crooked bastards, as many games as I have had to return to them (THREE copies of DW6 Empires, and I gave up, the one I have still is non-functional on some levels), and the fact that they sold me their discount card, then refused to honor it WHILE tryin to sell me an "upgraded" card, and the spamming your snailmail and email addresses, selling that info and your telephone number to scammer/spammers...

Every since they were bought out/merged with babbages?(I think), they've been shit, and their customer service has gone to hell - their online site is run by crooks who tried to demand I send em a photocopy of a bank statement before honoring my credit card (yeah, do I LOOK stupid?), and crap like this.

Oh, and lets not discuss the two occasions where they sold me a brand new sealed box... WITH NO GAME IN IT, mind you, twice, two different stores!

I will not do business with em no more, hell no.

Not Babbages, EB-Games, and before that Gamestop was pretty decent, and EB-Games was scumsucking ripoff artists, so one can only assume the poison spread after the buyout/merger.
