Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Absofuckinglootely hysterical! Now, if he wanted to say "the party of lower taxes for the RICH", that would be accurate, but given their actions on the payroll tax, his is an amazing statement!

He said it in response to a Wall Street Journal article which stated:
Quote:

"At this stage, Republicans would do best to cut their losses and find a way to extend the payroll holiday quickly," the paper's editorial writers said. "Then go home and return in January with a united House-Senate strategy that forces Democrats to make specific policy choices that highlight the differences between the parties on spending, taxes and regulation. ... The alternative is more chaotic retreat and the return of all-Democratic rule."
I don't now about an all-Democratic rule, but it sure makes them look like shit...especially going home after refusing to deal with it!

They may have just finally stepped over the line--anyone looking at their hypocritical stance on demanding the Bush tax cuts continue, which will add billions to the debt, then refusing to continue a payroll tax cut for working people (and tagging onto passing it demands for unrelated shit like the pipeline, to boot) knows what's going on. Surely even the dumbest American has to see that, by now?

Damned nice of them to so clearly show where their priorities (and who their masters) are; maybe this will piss people off enough to start mending the rents they've made in our country and our rights!
