By the hairy balls of budda, why'd we even dump Saddam in the first place if we're just gonna do the same stupid shit all over again ?!

America loves a winner!

The theme from Benny Hill dubbed over the video of the fighting monks makes me smile.

Gotta show that we gave them every possible chance to get it straight before they screwed it up due to their inability to think outside the tribe and the teaching of the competing Shia and Sunni imams.

American girl, 8, is target of ultra-Orthodox Jews in Israel
Quote:

Ultra-Orthodox Jews in the city of Beit Shemesh, to the west of Jerusalem, consider a new girls school there an encroachment on their territory. Dozens of men in black hats jeer and physically accost the girls almost daily, the students say, according to the Associated Press.

This girl -and other girls going to school in this ultra-conservative Jewish neighborhood in Israel- are spit on, yelled at and taunted by groups of grown men who are offended by the girls' (very conservative) dress. Maybe they should wear burkas???

Apparently, these nutso Jews are agitating to turn the state of Israel into something like Iran. Dear Lord, please make all religious nuts turn into butterflies or something equally innocuous.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Good lord, the things people do to feel holy. Is it wrong that I laughed all the way through this?

To all the religious nuts out there "I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with ..." oh, wait. Yeah, I AM laughing at you.

Well, Frem, first off, we didn't go in to dump Saddam, you know that, we went in for reasons--or reasonless-reasons--which were determined by a few people (hi, Dubya and Darth) having nothing to do with Saddam. Secondly, haven't we done the same things over and over, only to find out the result was worse than what we went in to "fix"? It's like every new administration thinks they know what to do and never look at the stupidity of previous administrations. I expect no less.

This was what the opposition was asking we would NOT do, in order to avoid a civil war.

I hurt for the Iraqi people. I hurt that my taxes went to cause them so much suffering.
