Who cares what the capital of Israel is; these are questions which are pertinent to us, the citizens of the country over which he wants to preside. Why won't Romney answer the questions or take a stand on these issues:

1. Would you undo Obama’s decision to end deportations of DREAM-eligible immigrants?

2. Would you support the Paycheck Fairness Act?

3. Would you please specify which tax loopholes you'd close?

4. Would you please specify which federal agencies you'd eliminate?

5. Do you or do you not support the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act?

6. Do you or do you not support full reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act?

7. Would you eliminate the “carried interest” tax break for private equity partners?

Now THOSE are pertinent, serious issues, and Romney won't answer the questions. What's he hiding?

Another, perhaps MORE pertinent question:

8. Will you recognize Taiwan as the official government of China? Taiwan has taken the step of declaring itself the only legitimate government of the nation of China, including the Chinese mainland. How would a "President Romney" address such an issue?

I took the liberty of posting this on Mitt Romney's facebook page a few hours ago, but have yet to receive any answer. In fact, it now appears that my post was removed and I have been blocked from posting on that page.

I wonder why he won't answer that question...

Good one, Mike. Interesting that it disappeared; even MORE interesting that you got banned! Helluva way for a potential President to behave...I will never understand why he gets away with all his shit about avoiding taking a stand on important issues, yet people don't care. It clearly indicates an aspect of him that should worry people (among so many others!), yet he goes on this way.

There must be a reeely virulent hatred of Obama out there having NOTHING to do with his handling of the country (given Dubya's record!). I would wonder why, but I kinda know, and what it says about my country makes me very, very sad.

The upcoming Republican National Convention in Tampa will feature a lively and spirited minstrel show in prime time to highlight the cultural diversity of the Party. Also planned are watermelon and chitlin eating contests, Amos and Andy rerun viewings, and mock lynchings of Obama from different types of tree limbs. But the real buzz is about the somewhat secretive grande finale which is rumored to pit Herman Cain against Mark Sanford in a contest to settle once and for all who the biggest idiot whoremonger in politics is. The Convention is expected to be watched by billions of people, and could possibly even challenge the Olympics for pure adrenaline excitement, and those un-stoppable gut-wrenching cringe-worthy moments. Enjoy the show!

A big hollow void, like a bit rotten tree.

This man has NO fundamental beliefs of his own, besides money money money for Mitt! His standing on every actual issue depends on what he thinks will impress voters.

He's always been able to pull off this kind of thing in a boardroom, or for a single state that's fairly homogenous in its political views, but he can't invent a position to please all the many diverse voters of a whole damned country. Therefore, he has no standing on these issues.

The funny thing is, I think Mitt is 100% aware of this logic, and thinks it's A-OK. If he were to answer honestly, he really would say: "I can't take a position on that until I get clearer results from my campaign's pollers."

Well said, Mal, and something we've all come to recognize (well, excepting those who never hear anything except from the extreme right).

Something along the lines of "I can't remember what I said but I stand by what I said", which statement absolutly floored me!

So I take it you'll be there, eh? Sounds like just the kind of thing you'd like, what with all the pandering to racial stereotypes of blacks that you're so good at!

This is an actual, in context, real Mitt Romney quote:

Quote:

I believe in an America where millions of Americans believe in an America that’s the America millions of Americans believe in. That’s the America I love.

Yup, he actually said that. Out loud. In front of people.

No wonder Rappy supports him!
