Gays ‘Sexualize’ Children And 9 Other Crazy Things GOP Candidate E.W. Jackson Says

We know that the Republicans are running Ken “Cuckoo” Cuccinelli for the office of governor of the great state of Virginia. Well, meet the man they hope will be his Lt. Governor: E.W Jackson. Jackson is a pastor so far to the right he makes Pat Robertson look like a pagan. His remarks about gays and Democrats are particularly obnoxious. His campaign page says – get this – that he will “carry the torch of freedom for all Virginians…” That is, unless you are LGBT or a Democrat in which case he carries a torch alright – to burn you at the stake.

Here’s a top (bottom?) 10 list of disgusting and hateful things E. W Jackson has said about gays, Democrats and President Obama:

1. “Homosexuality is a horrible sin, it poisons culture, it destroys families, it destroys societies; it brings the judgment of God unlike very few things that we can think of.”

2. “Look, it also attempts to poison our children, divide them from their parents and the teaching of the church and basically turn them into pawns for that movement so that they can sexualize them at the earliest possible age. It really is insidious and I agree with you, it is a super sin.”

3. “If you don’t, (go along with them) you are the enemy and they want you declared a hate group, they want you declared a far-right-wing nut who needs to be perhaps even put in jail. This is one of the concerns I have with a party that is affiliated with this kind of extremism.”

4. “The military has been decimated by this lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender policy that has now been implemented. It’s an abomination and it’s only going to weaken us militarily and they need to undo it and we need to keep the pressure on to let them know that that’s what we expect.”

5. “Democrats now have fully embraced an abortion policy that amounts to infanticide. They have also made the lesbian-homosexual-bisexual-transgender agenda their vision for America. How have they managed to hold on to black Christians in spite of an agenda worthy of the Antichrist?”

6. “President Obama has said we should admire same-sex relationships. The Bible condemns them. President Obama is in favor of even allowing a child inadvertently born alive that was intended to be aborted to die anyway. That’s a complete violation of the Word of God, which says, ‘Choose life that you and your children may live’ (Deuteronomy 30:19),’ the bishop cites. So these ministers who are encouraging their congregations to support this abomination are going to have to answer to God.”

7. “If he (President Obama) were white with the associations that he’s had I don’t think he would have gotten elected, I think the American people would have said ‘no this guy is potentially too dangerous to put in the power of the presidency.’ With his association with Bill Ayers, with Jeremiah Wright, his association growing up with a lot of Communists and having this apparently very close relationship with Islam. I don’t think anybody fully knows just how close that relationship is yet, I think he downplays it, but clearly he grew up in a Muslim country, he knows the Koran and so he seems to have a lot of sympathy for even radical Islam, unwilling to call it terrorism, unwilling to deal with it.”

8. “They (Democrats) don’t love us (minorities). I liken them to slave masters who brag about how good their slaves are and how well-behaved they are but let them try to be free, let them try to escape and then you find out that they don’t really think very much of them.”

9. “Planned Parenthood, has been far more lethal to Black lives than the KKK ever was.”)

10. “So it’s just clear to me that we’ve got in a sense an administration that’s decided it’s not interested in God, the Bible, Christianity or any of that, it’s interested in pursuing its own willful agenda and if you get in the way, they’re going to try to hurt you.”

That’s just some of the hateful spewing that came out of this guys’ mouth. He tried – and still is trying – to “lead an Exodus” of blacks from the Democratic Party. He said that God would turn blacks “overwhelmingly” against Obama in 2012. Yeah, not so much. Telling people that a vote for him is a vote for “the glory of God” isn’t arrogant at all, right? For all the good it did him in his Senate race last year, I guess God takes umbrage at claims like that. And so He should. E.W. Jackson is the worst kind of politician: the kind who thinks that he, and he alone, speaks for God. That is always a giant red flag. So many overbearing dictator types like to think that they are speaking for the Supreme Being but it always turns out that they are speaking only for themselves. So it is with this egomaniac. Let’s hope that either Aneesh Chopra or Ralph Northam beats him at the polls. I shudder to think what Virginia would be like with this guy in the state house. TN Rep: The Bible Says Not To Feed The ‘Unwilling To Work,’ So We Should Cut Food Stamps To Kids

As the GOP keeps looking for somewhere to cut government spending that won’t affect their pockets at all, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, is now in their sights for cuts that could potentially devastate families who need it most.

Almost 47 million Americans are now receiving benefits under SNAP, also known as ‘food stamps’, and many of those are children, elderly, disabled, or working poor. As expected in troubled economic times, enrollment in the program skyrocketed and with it the costs of the program, which more than doubled to $80 billion. What many people don’t know is that food stamps are funded under the Farm Bill, the same bill that funds Federal subsidies for farmers.

So as the House Agriculture Committee debated this week over how much to cut from SNAP, it was not surprising that Representative Juan Vargas, a California Democrat, would remind the committee to follow the example set forth by Jesus, who said that how we treat the least among us is how we treat him. Of course, not to be out-Bibled, Representative Stephen Fincher, a Tennessee Republican, came back with his own Bible verse, quoting the Old Testament when he said, “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

Really? Is that how we see the least fortunate among us? As lazy? Last I checked, there were laws against child labor in this country, and children make up almost half of all SNAP beneficiaries. Further, since many of the jobs that have been created since the economic recovery began are low wage jobs, it is to be expected that many of the families on the program are what are called ‘working poor’; families that do work but do not make a living wage.

But Rep. Fincher certainly doesn’t fall under this category. The Fincher family owns a 2500 acre farm in western Tennessee that brings in MILLIONS of dollars in Federal farm subsidies from the very bill he says needs to be targeted for its food stamps benefits. Make no mistake, this is no small family farm. Not one to miss out on any free government money, Fincher also took a grant from the state of Tennessee, as did his father, that allowed for taxpayers to buy them new farm equipment. That’s free to them. Free work related materials. FREE.

But free is only okay if it benefits him, evidently. Free is no longer okay when it comes to giving poor children, disabled, and elderly enough food to barely keep them from starving. Fact is that the amount of benefits granted by the SNAP program is very low, $668 for a family of four. If your family of four makes more than $1,921 a month, you do not qualify. To give perspective, the USDA says a modest food budget for a family of four with children between the ages of 6 to 11 years old is about $1,024.70. That is $356.70 higher than the allowance received through SNAP. For this reason, most benefits run out before the month is over.

Rep. Fincher has already been hearing from angry voters after bragging about the passage of the proposed cuts to SNAP benefits (all while keeping government farm subsidies in tact). On his Facebook page, people are letting him know what they think of his politics with comments such as:

"Looks like you haven’t missed any meals lately…do you even know how it feels to be hungry? You are a dumbass!"

"'The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat' ~Fincher
Guess you better tighten your belt, parasite."

"Did you mention what benefits Fincher Farms will get put of this and how many more 8th dist kids will starve as you reduced the USDA SNAP benefits in favor of your financial supporters. Sounds like something the Devil would do."

With politics like his, it’s only fitting that Rep. Fincher would now be feeling the heat that his un-weatherbeaten skin has obviously never experienced in his career as a “farmer.” http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/05/21/tn-rep-the-bible-says-not-to-f

NEWOLDBROWNCOAT

I can't get this out of my mind.

There's a 1960's London/Broadway musical called "The Roar of The Greasepaint, the Smell of the Crowd" by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricuse, the guys who did "Stop the World-- I Want to get off." Great pop song-writing team, a bunch of classic single hits came out of those 2 shows

The evil, oppressive, and overbearing Sir has a line in one of his songs about his nostalgia for days gone by: "Children were working in coal mines, and Life was a beautiful thing." The Brits outlawed that probably a century ago. But it's obvious that this Fincher guy would love to return us to those days.

There, I feel better. I've got the song outta my head. Next trip to the library, I gotta run down the libretto or vocal score, though.

No, Brenda, at the VOTING BOOTH! Polling doesn't decide anything, we need people to wake up and vote them out! ;o)

Of course, if they DID poll badly enough, they wouldn't even be in the running, so in that way, I guess you're right...

And of course if the Republicans ever got their heads out of their asses, they wouldn't RUN them in the first place...but that's too much to hope for at this time in our history, I realize.

Oh, that's different, I didn't know that. Interesting! Of course, "polling BOOTH" should have clued me in, I guess for us the difference between who/what people SAY they'll vote for/against in a poll and who/what they actual DO vote for/against can be quite different down here, and that's all I saw.

Learned a new Canadian phrase; I learn something new every day! ;o)
