Darrell Issa Proven to be a Fraud: Full Transcripts Reveal No IRS White House Conspiracy

Quote:

I know I can’t be the only one who wondered why, as time went on, you heard less and less from prominent Republicans about these asinine conspiracy theories that tried to link the IRS “scandal” to the White House.

And just like with the Benghazi emails, the full transcripts have revealed that there was absolutely no testimony or evidence that supports the right-wing lie that the White House was behind these actions.

Darrell Issa knew this. That’s why he continued to delay the release of these transcripts, which decimated every conspiracy Republicans have tried to levy against the President.
Yesterday’s release from Representative Elijah Cummings contains the full transcripts that show the White House had absolutely nothing to do with this issue in the Cincinnati office.

Not only do these transcripts prove that Obama had nothing to do with the issue, the gentleman being quested is a self-professed “conservative Republican” who made it clear there was no White House involvement.

Is anyone surprised that Issa's full of shit? I hope he doesn't get mad and set anyone's house on fire or steal their cars or anything.

Thank you for providing the link to the story. It has a link to the actual transcript.

I missed this post, but I do remember that Issa was publicly pissed that somebody on his committee leaked. I didn't follow up because I assumed, correctly, that the leak blew the entire partisan attack right out of the water, and I had already dismissed the entire thing as exactly that.

I also note how quickly this post disappeared from the home page, buried in the barrage of other partisan stuff and PN irrelevancy-- it came and went so quickly that I missed it there, and only 27 people read it. Almost a conspiracy to make sure it never got read. I'm not surprised.

Feh, seriously - the stupid bastards were blatantly trying to abuse nonprofit status to cloak political slush funds from public scrutiny, and deny the IRS their cut... seriously, as I have mentioned many times on more important issues, nobody seems to ever give a shit about what kind of evil anyone gets up to, until someone doesn't get PAID.

Anyways, to ME, even from the get-go, this read more like, say...

DEA investigates columbian cartel for possible drug trafficking.

As in, non-story, given that investigating abuses of the nonprofit system, which were without a doubt occuring there, happens to be the freakin job of the damn IRS - and using nonprofit funds for political reason is about as blatant and severe a violation that exists.

Typical conservative asshattery, they're all for law and order, till it applies to THEM.

The funniest part of that is, if he really believes that line of bullshit he's selling...

... doesn't that make him guilty of watching kiddie porn? And hasn't he just said as much?

But yeah. Fuckin' Texas. Dipshits like him are the reason this state is so very, very far behind in education. And they're also the end product of banning sex education or any talk of the realities of sex and sexuality. I can totally see how this moron thinks this way; after all, he was raised and educated by people just as stupid as him.

And that's the rub, isn't it? When you get right down to it, the teabaggers aren't pissed because they got looked at for trying to cheat, or because the government wanted to ask them a few questions before just giving them a freebie government handout with YOUR tax dollars - they're really pissed off because when you get right down to it, this showed somebody in government actually DOING THEIR FUCKING JOB, and the righties can't stand to see government working with any kind of efficiency.

NIKI2

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Okay, first of all, thank you for that. Knew it was the case, just waiting out all the bullshit.

Second, Issa's not far right, he's dead center of the GOP, and doing exactly what he and they want done; dig up dirt, make it as big as possible, stretch it out as long as possible.

Third, didn't everyone already KNOW "that Issa's full of shit"? By now, anyone paying attention to Issa's "“I want seven hearings a week, times 40 weeks" (November 2010) certainly SHOULD have. Californians certainly did.

Fourth, of course Frem nailed it; as I, and no doubt others, have said, although targeting for the name is egregious, the IRS WAS doing what it's supposed to, and IS missing tons of fraudulent tax-exempt statuses (the worst of which we know are the Big Guys on both sides).

(As an aside: I've been gone because the axle broke on my sulky, and some other stuff which triggered a depressive episode; it coincided with getting sick of the crap here and the obsessive posting focusing on these non-scandals, but I've popped in to see if there was anything worth joining in on. Axle had to go back to Australia for repair, ended up with me upgrading to a more "robust" sulky--boy, IS it!--and we had our first proper run last night, so I'm on the mend.)
