“Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it,” Obama said in a White House statement on May 15. “I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency but especially in the IRS, given the power that it has and the reach that it has into all of our lives.”

Yeah. He's really angry about it. So angry, he's done absolutely nothing about it.

There is no evidence that the FBI has contacted a single tea party group in its criminal investigation of the Internal Revenue Service, according to the groups the IRS abused.

“We have not been contacted by any federal investigative agency and, to date, none of our clients have been contacted or interviewed by the FBI,” Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice told The Daily Caller on Thursday. The ACLJ has filed suit against the IRS on behalf of 25 conservative groups, with additional groups being added in the next couple weeks, according to a spokesman.

“I have been very surprised that I have not heard from anybody and frankly, none of my clients have. I talk to other tea party leaders on a regular basis,” said Cleta Mitchell, the lawyer largely credited with pushing the IRS abuses to the forefront.

DALEK!

Why would they contact them? More so after it has come out that the IRS was also scrutinizing application from liberal groups as well.

I do not fear God, I fear the ignorance of man.

The claims that the IRS equally ( or anywhere remotely close to equally ) scrutinized any Left wing groups is specious, at best.

Why wouldn't they contact them ? Obama himself has said that those responsible would be held responsible. So far, not much at all has happened. Just another case of this admin slow-walking something which embarrasses them, and simply hoping it goes away.

Actually that was Delta, and I still wonder what the hell is UP with them holding such a goddamn grudge, unless they're still pissed about being exposed over the Seattle WTO incidents cause they were STUPID enough to use unencrypted radio comm channels.

Seriously, who ELSE has silenced SR-25 Rifles as standard issue, hmmm ?

Lemme expound on that last, a bit...

During the Seattle WTO incident, not only was it known, and later admitted, that Delta was involved in the security arrangements trying to push a "Miami-Model" pre-emptive assault on the protesters - slightly less well known is that they had provacateurs on-site and active, and were communicating with them via uncoded radio, which the intercepts thereof were then handed over in exchange for dropping the spurious charges against many if not most of the protesters.

Seriously, when you have a pack of weedy little college geeks, and some slab sided steroid suckin no neck tries to join in wearing motherfucking cochoran jump boots, everyone within a MILE knows he's a goddamn plant, fer fucks sake he might have well have potting soil on his well bloused fatigue pants....

And so, being outed and humiliated by a bunch of stoned halfass anarchists, their precious little egos were damaged and like the machismoid children they are, the reaction has been a foaming rabid ragefest and intent to murder, with or without orders - your tax dollars at work.

Yep, billions of dollars to fund the wank-spanking, ego-trip, hyper-male, hoo-rah fantasies of a bunch of typical jock bullies so puffed up on their own supposed badassery and importance they cannot even manage competent commo security against a non-threat opponent.

They totally fumbled Eagle Claw, in contrast with Ross Perots hired mercs, they backed them murderous Contra bastards, cause yanno unarmed civilians are kinda easy to kill when you ambush them at night, or plant bombs, sure - sat on their asses over Aero252 till the Venezuelans got sick of their useless bragging and stormed the plane, bailed out on Round Bottle as a favor to their homicidal Contra friends, couldn't find any SCUDs in Iraq despite being given a fucking map of their deployment (much to the ire of a couple A-10 pilots stuck uselessly flying in circles), completely hosed it in Somalia to where they needed a full fucking batallion to bail them out, but of course they're the *snort* baddest mofos ever, according to THEM, sure.

And to finance this manly little circle jerk, families go hungry, children go without medical care, to feed the war fantasies of a bunch of no-neck rocketjocks who think being puffed up on their own physicality and ego makes them competent soldiers even though they've had their ass kicked every time it really mattered - and because a bunch of half competent stoner anarchists showed them up, they decide to plot outright extrajudicial murder in clear defiance of their own command.

Here is the weapon the FBI describes, and it's suppressor.

http://www.knightarmco.com/commercial/

http://www.knightarmco.com/portfolio/sr-25-rifle-suppressor/

These are not sold to civilians, and the only police or military org that uses them at all, much less as issue equipment, is Delta - so the instant suppressed sniper rifles were mentioned it completely outs the faction who was intent on assassinating peaceful protestors, a bunch of pumped up bullies and cowards with a bitter grudge, financed and armed with your tax dollars.

Perhaps that funding should be questioned, hmmm ?

Nope, more ranting to do...

See, part of this is that back in the mid-80s, and slightly before, our training curriculum changed quite a bit - the Twentyninepalms survey wasn't an anomoly, a lot of troops were asked how far they would go towards suppressing, disarming or shooting civvies that failed to cooperate, effectively they were being asked whether or not they'd support a rightwing military coup (REX84) without saying so in as many words, you see.

Apparently enough of them said no-fucking-way that the notion became unfeasible, and so "training" was altered (using many excuses having nothing to do with it) in order to 'correct' that little 'problem'... more emphasis on indoctrination and physical 'excellence' (because stress and fatigue makes the brainwashing easier, see ?) and thus other more important things got shorted.

Look, I don't care if they're 350lbs of man muscle and their sixpacks have sixpacks and they can bench 200% of their bodyweight and march 25 miles a day in full kit and know krav manga and jujitsu and are good with a knife and could snap me like a freakin twig with their pinky - if I spot them 250 yards away cause their training shorted important shit like noise and commo discipline, situational awareness and marksmanship, and then plug a 7.62x54 through their skull, what was all that bullshit worth ?
Not to mention having to explain to the valkyries being chumped by a washed up thug in a wheelchair...

This is why our military gets whomped by even the most meagerly competent opponents, cause the training focuses on ego and obedience, rather than effectiveness... much as I dislike the Marines one part of their focus and WHY they actually have some right to talk shit is because they retain the focus on marksmanship as maximally important, something proven to have a direct and unignorable impact on the longterm effectiveness and survival of a soldier, more than any other factor, and certainly MUCH more than political reliability.

What we are producing these days and CALLING "Soldiers" is rather something completely different.

Violence Geeks

http://www.nononsenseselfdefense.com/violence_geeks.htm

Now imagine one of these - with a little training, a LOT of ego-stroking, and a really inflated sense of their own effectiveness, and conditioned for political 'reliability' and obedience.
Still think they wouldn't disarm, suppress or murder if you ordered to do so ?
Hell, to hear a lot of em talk, they're just WAITING for the day the leash gets cut and they can show us namby-pampy, dirty commie-muslim-terror-symp, puny weakass civvie scum who's boss.

My answer to such shitheads is basically the same as McQueens.

You're adorable. Predictable as the sunrise, but adorable in your ignorance.

Quote:

A Freedom of Information Act request filed by the Washington, D.C.-based Partnership for Civil Justice Fund yielded an FBI document containing knowledge of a plot by an unnamed group or individual to kill "leaders" of the Houston chapter of the nonviolent Occupy Wall Street movement.

Here's what the document said, according to WhoWhatWhy:

An identified [DELETED] as of October planned to engage in sniper attacks against protestors (sic) in Houston, Texas if deemed necessary. An identified [DELETED] had received intelligence that indicated the protesters in New York and Seattle planned similar protests in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin, Texas. [DELETED] planned to gather intelligence against the leaders of the protest groups and obtain photographs, then formulate a plan to kill the leadership via suppressed sniper rifles. (Note: protests continued throughout the weekend with approximately 6000 persons in NYC. 'Occupy Wall Street' protests have spread to about half of all states in the US, over a dozen European and Asian cities, including protests in Cleveland (10/6-8/11) at Willard Park which was initially attended by hundreds of protesters.)

When WhoWhatWhy sent an inquiry to FBI headquarters in Washington, officials confirmed that the first document is genuine and that it originated in the Houston FBI office.

That's more evidence than was needed to launch a congressional investigation into Fast-n-Furious, Benghazi, or the IRS.

BTW, I think I see your problem: You seem to believe that one holds hearing AFTER one has all the proof they need of wrongdoing.

You really don't get how such things work, do you?

Let me ask you this - What have any of the so-called Tea Party Repubs done to force the issue? Anything!?

What, aside from grandstanding hearings, have they done to smoke out the heathens?

Weird - it sounds like you're suggesting that the President of the United States should use his power to direct a government agency to investigate some group purely in order to support a political agenda.

Well, they've tried hard to downplay if not outright omit any evidence that it WASN'T just conservative political groups that were targeted. They've definitely done that in an attempt to force this issue.
