After denouncing First Amendment protections for Muslim-Americans (and calling Obama "America's first Muslim President), American Family Association talk show host Sandy Rios said that despite the political setbacks of the Religious Right, “God will even the score” with President Obama and “homosexual activists.” She said that Obama and “homosexual activists” will be punished in the end for “breaking all kinds of moral laws and mocking everyone in the process.”
Quote:

I would not want to be in the shoes of any of the left right now. I would not want to be in Barack Obama’s shoes. I would not want to be in the shoes of homosexual activists. I say that with humility and with fear for them because God will even the score, he will sort things out, he will be God and he will not be mocked. Whereas they think they are getting away with breaking all kinds of moral laws and mocking everyone in the process, they just don’t know God, they don’t know who they are up against and we do. And that should bring out some mercy in us because I wouldn’t want to be—what did that old evangelist say: ‘it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an angry God.’ http://www.afa.net/Radio/show.aspx?id=2147491277&tab=audio&aud

i'm still waiting for that huge meteor / earthquake to hit Orlando, to punish Wally World for allowing " Gay Days " in the park.

Should be happening... any moment now.

Yep.

Any moment.

Is that a joke, or did someone actually say that?? You'll have to forgive me; there's so much insanity running around, I'm never sure, so I have to ask...

If it's real, I'd put my money on the WBC... ;o)

what a world we're in...

From 1998...

On the June 8 edition of his "700 Club" show (released to the media by Americans United for Separation of Church and State), Robertson denounced Orlando and Disney World for welcoming gay tourists to the theme park during a privately sponsored "Gay Days" weekend. Robertson predicted dire consequences.

Noting that the city government allowed the display of rainbow flags on light poles, the TV preacher warned that acceptance of homosexuality could result in hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, terrorist bombs and "possibly a meteor."

Speaking of biblical super heroes, how has the devil been able to influence mankind at all ?

Wasn't he cast into hell, where there's no escape ?

Seems he's got a revolving door down there, and can come and go as he pleases. I mean, he tempted Jesus, and his demons can go hither and yon to tempt and harass mankind seemingly at will... Hell seems like less a prison for all eternity and more like New Jersey.

This is why I don't like organized religion. Too much everyone is wrong and not enough live and let live.

A....men! My credo is ancient, too, it's "Harm none, do as ye will."

I'm not well versed on hell and the devil and all that, about the only thing I know with regard to this discussion is Obama's supposedly the anti-Christ to many, isn't he? I guess that's about as insane as people "worshipping" him as a "god", isn't it? Aren't there a whole lot more people who think he's the anti-Christ than think he's a god?

sounds like Ghostbusters

Quote:

Dr. Peter Venkman: This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.

Mayor: What do you mean, "biblical"?

Dr Ray Stantz: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath of God type stuff.

Dr. Peter Venkman: Exactly.

Dr Ray Stantz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!

Dr. Egon Spengler: Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...

Winston Zeddemore: The dead rising from the grave!

Dr. Peter Venkman: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

"dogs and cats living together" ... I'll bet Robertson would have something to say about that (if he hasn't already)...

...and of course, the comparison is quite a statement, given Ghostbusters was FANTASY...
