I imagine the state has to pay for the ER visits.

Meanwhile the Governor has health insurance for life and Ted Cruz is covered by his wife's employer.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Shiny, yes, the "state" (as in taxes) pays for those ER visits, but also everyone else pays in higher hospital costs, higher insurance premiums, etc. Again, it's fascinating that the right would rather FULLY SUBSIDIZE people who don't have health insurance than let everyone pay their share. Boggles the mind, it does.

No. The nation was STARTED with out any health insurance. THAT is issue here. Health insurance is NOT a " right ". The only way this SCAM works is to force everyone ( working and healthy ) to pay into the system, so those not healthy or working can take.

The govt has no RIGHT to claim a portion of MY life, or anyone else with out our consent.

This has zero to w/ slavery, women's right to vote, child labor laws...

Yeah Nick...he probably would, as long as "the right people" still had access to them.

The point is "The nation WAS started with" slavery, child labor, etc., and we've been working to create a BETTER nation ever since...which of course the rabid right wingers don't WANT, they want to keep it back when we had slavery, child labor, 7-day work weeks and all those other wonderful things that existed then...and no car insurance, universal education, interstate highways, food and drug safety programs, FEMA or any of those other AWFUL things we've created to improve it. It's actually very simple. Stupid, but simple.
