What isn't funny is that they fired Uncle Pat B. for less.

I heard about this on The Blaze. What's funny is he tried to do a call in radio show for a spell, and failed miserably. The dude can't perform on his own unless he's saying what others wrote for him.

He's perfect for msnbc.

Yes he is perfect for MSNBC, he's a phoney left-wing bigot just like all the other liberal scum on that network. If Sean Hannity or Bill O'Riley had said "fag" even as a joke, GLAAD would demand they be blacklisted. I'm sure Baldwin will go on SNL in the near future and do a wacky skit and the libs will forgive him...because they're phoneys.

I could never stomach Baldwin; wanted to watch Thirty Rock 'cuz it got such good reviews, but couldn't make it half way into even one episode because of him. Never considered him anything but untalented and not very bright, which just proves there are people like that on both sides.

Remember when Ann Coulter called John Edwards a "faggot", and she was immediately fired and hasn't appeared on Fox ever since?

Yeah, neither do I.

I really do hate it when actors / entertainers personal views spoil what should be a very enjoyable show / movie / what ever. I know, they're real folk, w/ real opinions of their own and all, and that shouldn't interfere with what they do for a living. And usually, almost all of the time, it doesn't. I guess it really comes down to not what they believe, but in how they carry themselves.

REM's Michael Stipe is a pretty far Lefty. Makes no bones about it. But that didn't stop me from being a HUGE REM fan. But Alec , he's a different case. He's had 'issues' that date back to his marriage w/ Kim Basinger, and longer, I'm guessing. It's his personality, not so much his views, that turns me off as well. Sean Penn, is another one. Fine actor, but man, what a d-bag. At least, at times.

So, what's the breaking point ? When does a person's views or actions tip the scale, from making them watchable, despite how you feel about them personally, to out right avoiding anything they're in, or do ?

Just a random thought.

Well they were sure quick to can her show she had on FOX, weren't they ? Or, wait. She never HAD one, did she ? And of course, she never actually DID call him a 'faggot', either. But let's not split hairs.

Well, don't fall over, but we agree yet again. About Penn as well.

As to "So, what's the breaking point ? When does a person's views or actions tip the scale, from making them watchable, despite how you feel about them personally, to out right avoiding anything they're in, or do ?"

I think it depends on the individual, their views, and a whole bunch of other things involving only the audience member. I simply won't WATCH anything by Mel Gibson anymore, merely because his movies became so damned graphically violent and ugly that I just didn't enjoy them, so I pretty much know if it's Gibson, why bother? (Helps he's made such an ass of himself, admittedly.) Never did think he had talent, just made entertaining movies; that stopped long ago. I respected what Costner did in Dances and Bodyguard immensely, still love, own and re-watch Bull Durham, Dragonfly (subject matter, not Costner), and Untouchables, but since Waterworld, his ego now puts me off so badly, I'd not be inclined to watch anything starring him. I will NEVER watch ANYTHING with Tom Cruise in it again because of the combination of ego/insanity and just plain lack of talent. I also gave up on Harrison Ford, who I used to admire, because he just seemed to start phoning it in for the bucks and it wasn't entertaining. So it's all subjective, IMHO.

What a crock of Niki bullshit! Baldwin is a far-left zealot psycho just like she is. His politics are exactly the same as hers.

To say that Baldwin is untalented is absurd and dishonest. Baldwin is very talented and has acted in many great movies like The Hunt For Red October, Working Girl, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Cooler (my favorite Baldwin role), etc. etc. She also says he's not very bright. I don't know what his I.Q. is but I do know that he's been bright enough to have had Kim Basinger in her prime as his wife, a long ongoing career in acting, and mega millions in the bank.

So he says stupid things once in a a while ... so f'ing what. If I took any Hollywood libtard seriously I wouldn't be able to watch any tv or see any movies. Ooooooh, Baldwin said fag! Well good for him. That's what he meant, that's what he said. Very refreshing for a change.

Once again Alec Baldwin is in the news via bad behavior and a Twitter post. Baldwin was removed from an American Airlines flight while the plane was preparing for takeoff. Baldwin refused to turn off his mobile phone while playing a video game.
Quote:

"The passenger ultimately stood up (with the seat belt light still on for departure) and took his phone into the plane's lavatory. He slammed the lavatory door so hard, the cockpit crew heard it and became alarmed," the statement read. "The passenger was extremely rude to the crew, calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language. Given the facts above, the passenger was removed from the flight and denied boarding."

"Pick on somebody your own size", says longtime Hollywood publicist Howard Bragman of Reputation.com.

"My take is that he's everything that everybody thinks that celebrities are — he's arrogant and entitled and inappropriate," says Bragman. "I think he should learn some manners and I think he should learn to apologize."

Media consultant Michael Sands called Baldwin "infantile and inappropriate."

Real class act, that one. You betcha!

The Alec Baldwin public meltdown 2013 continues.

He got in hot water Thursday for allegedly using an anti-gay slur against a member of the paparazzi, after chasing another pap down the street and yelling at him. That incident made national headlines and caused the 55-year-old actor to claim he was misunderstood and was anything but homophobic after being called out for continuing to use anti-gay slurs from everyone from Anderson Cooper to GLAAD.

So you’d think he’d want to lay low Friday and stay out of the headlines. Well, he’s done the opposite.

He’s had a morning filled with bizarre encounters with the media. First he shoved paparazzi while walking to get a haircut. Then he appeared friendly and cooperative to the same paparazzi after his trim by posing with his gay hairdresser and having him attest that he’s not homophobic (it was as awkward as it sounds). Then he verbally threatened a reporter from the local NYC Fox affiliate WNYW when entering his apartment (the reporter was there to inquire about the gay slurs story). The actor walked up to Fox 5 reporter Robert Moses and warned him to leave the sidewalk in front of his building.

Now he’s gotten into a screaming fit with another local TV news reporter. When leaving his apartment with his wife Hilaria, she points to a female reporter and said “that’s the one that almost hit me.” Apparently Hilaria believed that Fox5 NY’s Lindsa Schmidt almost hit her with her microphone Thursday. Alec then went OFF on the reporter, screaming at her and saying he was going to press assault charges against her. "I asked you a question: You want to apologize to her?" he yelled. He then told a uniformed cop that he wanted to press charges against "that blonde." The cops tried to calm him down to no avail and he and Hilaria eventually drove away.

Yup, real class act.

Ironically, I had no idea what Baldwin's politics were or are; like I said, I avoid seeing/reading anything about him. I didn't even remember his rant to his daughter over the phone until I went looking for news about him. I see it was just a regular day for Mr. Baldwin.

I watched his latest outburst following his testimony at the Stalking trial of his mistress. He verbally attacked Linda Schmidt of Fox News/NY because his wife claimed that Schmidt assaulted her with a microphone while trying to get a reaction statement.

Baldwin went ballistic on Schmidt (despite the fact he did not actually witness the alleged attack) and told Schmidt to go F herself. Then he tried to press charges against Schmidt. Fox showed a clip of the attempt to get a statement from his wife and it was obvious she exaggerated. Schmidt merely pointed the mic in her direction and Baldwin's wife overreacted.

If you ask me they're both nuts. Actually, I believe Baldwin is a manic depressive and his wife isn't far behind. They deserve each other. It's obvious the man is not well in the head (remember his telephone tirade at his daughter a few years back).

By the way, Rush Limbaugh is a similarly sick in the head.
