“The novelty of David Duke has worn off,” said Scalise. “The voters in this district are smart enough to realize that they need to get behind someone who not only believes in the issues they care about, but also can get elected. Duke has proven that he can’t get elected, and that’s the first and most important thing.

Yeah, Duke's racism and bigotry aren't the important thing at all - the *important* thing is that he can't get elected, not *why* he can't.

He really thinks that people are going to believe he didn't know about Duke going in?
And that statement speaks volumes about the most important thing, getting elected, because once you're in....................you can cause more damage that way.

Pull my other leg please, this one's long enough!

His claim is that he didn't know anything about Duke or Duke's group in 2002 when he spoke to them.

In Louisiana, where he's from, and where David Duke is from, and where David Duke had run for political office *SEVERAL* times prior to 2002, including a congressional rep's seat in 1999.

Oh, and the interview where he said Duke wasn't electable? That was in 1999, three years before he spoke at Duke's group. That group he now says he never knew anything about.

And he expects us to buy this line of bullshit.

And John Boehner apparently does.

It's the Good Ole Boys Club Elvis..............once you're in....Only thing they don't wear white sheets.

The balls on these guys. Boehner had to ask him to step down, and the country wants these guys to govern. Well, I say get the lube and grab your ankles cause they're gonna do it without vaseline, and this time they mean it.
