Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

I sure was hoping we'd get through at least one presidential term without yet another war. But given Trump's policies, it sure looks like we're headed for one. And I have to say, when Trump picks would-be foes, he picks doozies, unlike push-over Libya.

Starting with China, the US announced it'll be installing intermediate range missiles somewhere within striking range of China.

Maybe the US was angling to withdraw from the INF Treaty with Russia all along just to be able to move on China. Because when it comes to Russia the US withdrew from the intermediate range missile pact.

Of course, that comes on the heels of the US withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal.

Well, at least in this hemisphere the US is picking on a country that can't fight back. It's completely embargoed Venezuela. Maybe this is plan B after Guaidó.
