I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

There are a couple of articles out there

What If There Are No Swing Voters?
https://politicalwire.com/2020/02/06/what-if-there-are-no-swing-voters/

and

How Trump Rewired the Electoral Map
https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/02/07/election-2020-new-el
ectoral-map-110496?utm_source=pocket-newtab

The first article (in brief) claims that there are no "undecided" voters, that in these polarized times everyone has already made up their mind and the battle is actually voter turnout. If that's the case, that explains the DNC's efforts to keep their base "energized" (i.e. hyperventilating over fake or random things from now until November) instead of addressing policy issues that Americans are supposedly interested in (health care, the economy, etc)

The second article points out that former "swing" states like Ohio are now so solidly red that they're no longer considered "battleground", but that other states with changing demographics, like Arizona, will become the new swing states.

As far as the first article is concerned, I obviously can't speak for all Americans but I can speak for myself: I am a true swing voter. I used to vote solidly Democratic, but having been so disgusted by Bill, Obama, and Hillary I wound up voting third party and - for the first time ever- Republican in the general election.

I'll be a swing voter again this year too. Who I vote for depends very much on the ticket. I think the announcement of the death of the swing voter is premature.

*****

As far as the second article goes, I think this sounds like a story planted to "explain" unexpected votes (because of vote-counting fraud) in certain states, especially those with Democratic State Secretaries. But I'll look into this further and give you a more considered opinion

It's that fat idiot Bitcofer and Democrats pushing that bullshit agenda.

They better hope that it's not all about turnout, because they're completely dead in the water if it is. Iowa's caucus was pathetic.

Moodys already predicted months ago that unless there is record voter turnout in November, the Democrats lose. If voter turnout is low, Trump wins with as many as 380 electoral votes.

These Democrat idiots are just saying whatever pops into their head in the moment now to keep something in the news cycle all of the time. They're exhausting. They're terrible. They're pathetic.

Looks like the Democrats are recruiting the Hitler youth. Just like they did in WWII Germany.

If you live in CA, there is no such thing as a swing votedr for the Senate or President. All of your votes are worthless, meaningless.

Same for Delaware, New York, MA, MD, CT, IL.

I'm not America but as I understand the voting system the swing States are Flordia, North Carolina, Minnesota, Virginia, Arizona, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire were close swing States last election .... the yeee haaaw Texas is not a swing state... and neither is Commiefornia.
There is also talk of the idea of 'Competitive states' previosly secure States that start to shift slowly to swing States.

the purple state concept?

Perhaps even more scary for elites is the idea of strong third-party showing like Indie votes or Libertarian or Stein (Green) or a Ralph Nader type guy they would blame for losing an election

Using a poorly connected computer yesterday. Looks like I left the site littered with multiple-posts, including a multiple New Thread.

That library decided to move their computers to a different area, because they were working too well. Now they regularly have problems keeping their wi-fi up and connected. Takes forever to make a post, and then half the time it would disconnect or reset, and without any further button-pushing, would create 4 posts. Most if it I didn't even notice until much later. It sucked on my end.

Sorry about the mess.
