Yes, pushing back against Donald Trump is essential. But to do that, the Democrats must turn themselves into a fighting force for economic justice.

They're absolutely wrong on how to go about it, but that's a very left-leaning publication admitting that the Democrat Party needs saving.

Choosing new leaders, Democrats are still in denial

Perhaps the key moment came when Capehart asked the candidates and the audience for “a show of hands — how many of you believe that racism and misogyny played a role in Vice President Harris’s defeat?” Everyone onstage and in the audience raised his or her hand. It was unanimous. “OK, so that’s good,” Capehart said. “You all pass.”

You all pass. In a brief moment, Capehart gave voice to the test the Democratic Party has imposed on itself on the question of why Harris and the entire party lost ground in 2024: You can talk about the issues if you want, but we know it was racism and misogyny.

Fucking cultists.

Not looking good for you guys. You're just going to keep losing and losing and losing and losing...

Quote:

Others echoed the moment. “We have a racist, homophobic, misogynist president and party on the other side,” said Michael Blake, a candidate for DNC vice chairman, “and too often, we’re unwilling just to call it what it is. There is anti-blackness that is happening, there is racism that is happening, there is sexism that is happening, and if we are unwilling to be real about that, that’s why we’re going to keep losing.”

Be real about that? All you fucking do is talk about it 24/7/365. That, coupled with the fact that you make life suck for everyone when you're in power is why you keep losing.

Kick that motherfucker out. You get somebody like Michael Blake in there calling the shots, you guys are never going to win an election again.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Thanks once again for the articles, SIX.

Based on what I've read, the Dems won't be in power for the foreseeable future.

No problem. They're putting out some real bangers since Trump was inaugurated, aren't they?

Yeah. Short of everything going south and Trump's 2nd term being an absolute disaster, I don't see how Democrats get back into power for the next 20 years. There's a good chance with the way the Senate is made up today that I could go the rest of my life never seeing the Democrats control the Senate again.

Now we just have to sit back and wait and see what happens. Trump's Republican party won everything. Now they just have to make good on as many of the promises they made that they can while not doing something insanely stupid like slashing Food Stamps and Medicaid, or doing a nationwide ban on abortion after saying they weren't going to do that.

In the past, we've seen the shit Republican party shoot itself in the foot time and time and time again. Trump's first term wasn't nearly as successful as it should have been because the Establishment Republicans sided with Democrats on nearly every meaningful issue, and the RNC was actually funding the campaigns of people running against those that Trump endorsed.

That's over now. Trump owns the RNC now. Most of those "Republicans" are out in 2025, and those who remain have been put on notice by people like RFK Jr's running mate Nicole Shanahan, knowing that they will be removed via primary if they don't fall in line with the will of the American People.
