Hi conspiracy fans!

Add any historical example of American empiralism and related crimes to this thread.

Since reasonable points of view in the USA have been declared "conspiracies" by the corporatist neofascist movement and media cum swallowers it might be of use to the tiny little minds of children everywhere to understand how the USA (and hey, greedy pork barrel thieves and liars who are the elite of any fattening society of cream gulpers) will murder and bomb anything they please... and don't care.

Of course, we all know what happens when you oppose the USA... so don't go cruisin' in Dallas in a rag top, dong ma?

Operation Northwoods was a document drafted in 1962 by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and presented to Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara (and possibly President John F. Kennedy himself) on March 13, 1962. Long believed to be residing in the imagination of conspiracy theorists, the document was declassified in recent years by the Freedom of Information Act.

The document was drafted with the intent of getting public support for an invasion of Cuba.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff argued that the US population would only support military intervention in Cuba in the event of provocative, aggressive action by the island nation against American soldiers, American civilians or Cuban refugees and Cubans in exile.

The document frequently refers to staging fake attacks with fake victims, but in other cases does not specify whether the attacks should be fake or real, and for some recommended attacks explicitly notes that they could be real.

Had Operation Northwoods been carried out, it would likely have required the coordinative efforts of the Central Intelligence Agency, which is mentioned several times

How is that an example of American Imperialism?

You realise that we freed cuba from the spanish...

Then we declared it an independant nation (of our own free will) and it turns it's back on us to become a communist nation, buddy buddy with the Soviet Union - the biggest threat to our country after WW2.

yearly, hundreds of Cuban Refugees flooded across the Gulf of Mexico risking life and limb just for a CHANCE at the freedom America promised.

So, the CIA gave Cuban refugees weapons, supplies and a ride to cuba. promised military support...

and then the government decided to back off because the "public" was against any sort of actions against cuba... and the military support never came.

They were all killed or captured.

This debacle is known as the "Bay of Pigs". And it really happened, but the people that made noise in the country at that time were hippies. And everyone knows hippies think with thier drugs and not thier brains. I'm not saying they were wrong - I'm just saying they were not neccesarily right.

The cubans could have thrown Fidel and his communist bull out themselves - they just needed help.

That ain't no shepard...

Keep the Shiny side up

Please review the use of the word "Empirical" in your title. Perhaps "empiralist" would be more appropriate, though neither "empiralism" or "empiralist" get much usage. The more widely used "Imperial" and Imperialist" might serve better.
