I think Rappy's just waiting until the thread gets soooo long, that it collapses under the weight of itself. (Whoa, Rappy's anti-matter? That's so cool!)

And THEN he'll still call us children (which I don't mind so much), tell us we wrote something that is the exact opposite of what we actually wrote, and then put his invisibilty cloak back on.

Hahahahaha!!!

I think Rappy's hoping we'll forget how he bailed YET AGAIN from defending one of his (obviously) indefensible claims.

ILLEGAL Immigrants plan to leave over AZ law

By AMANDA LEE MYERS

(AP) Day Laborers stand along Arizona Ave Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in Chandler, Ariz. Arizona's...

PHOENIX (AP) - Many of the cars that once stopped in the Home Depot parking lot to pick up day laborers to hang drywall or do landscaping now just drive on by.

Arizona's sweeping immigration bill allows police to arrest illegal immigrant day laborers seeking work on the street or anyone trying to hire them. It won't take effect until summer but it is already having an effect on the state's underground economy.

"Nobody wants to pick us up," Julio Loyola Diaz says in Spanish as he and dozens of other men wait under the shade of palo verde trees and lean against a low brick wall outside the east Phoenix home improvement store.

Many day laborers like Diaz say they will leave Arizona because of the law, which also makes it a state crime to be in the U.S. illegally and directs police to question people about their immigration status if there is reason to suspect they are illegal immigrants.

Just come in the front door, is all we're saying. Not too much to ask. No one say we don't want immigrants. We just want them LEGAL.

Why all the fuss over folks who are breaking the law ? Seriously.

I never bailed anything. But the tactic here by Leftists is to not answer the question, raise up a mine field of IRRELEVANT side issues, and when I don't address THOSE , you claim I'm " running away ". Most don't want to admit that it's unfair to treat folks differently. 2 immigrants from different parts of the world, should be able to get in and gain citizenship via the same process. One group shouldn't be able to reap the benefits of living here, while others must wait in line.

That's the issue. I think 1 of you admitted as that being truly unfair. Wish the rest here were as intellectually honest.

Cuba is a separate issue. I didn't start the embargo with them. That began in 1960, after the Cuban Gov't took over control of American businesses and privately owned land. JFK extended the embargo w/ Executive Order. Many Cubans had already fled ( those who could, and those who weren't murdered by Che Guevara and Castro ) prior and just after the Cuban revolution. Since then, many have braved the open waters between the 2 counties, as well as there being the Mariel boat lift, of 1980.

"is to not answer the question, raise up a mine field of IRRELEVANT side issues" No, YOUR usual tactic.

I refuted your statement early on with facts and cites. No immigrant group can become legal without going through the same procedures. Your initial statement was false; I proved it; you ignore that and continue to insist on your initial premise OR turn the topic. That's your MO and it never changes.

I call you Crappy when you put up crap. It's appropriate. And maybe I'll change, or not, if you ever stop calling me NikKi. Meanwhile, it's pot calling kettle black, nothing more.

As to time to waste; given the obviousness of your MO, it's equally obvious you have plenty of time to waste when it comes to keeping your game going. Others buy into it; I'm not anymore.

You are a fake who wastes a ton of time trying to trigger people, obfuscating issues, turning threads in directions other than the initial issue, and demeaning others. That sums you up, and I recognize you as such.

Given the original title of this thread, I once again ask: If the Tea Partiers are so angry about "government intrusion" into their lives, why are they not up in arms over the Arizona law which allows a CITIZEN to be accosted or have the city or law enforcement come ONTO THEIR PROPERTY to check their papers?

If the Right is for fairness, the same question applies. If the Left is so up in arms about the civil rights being denied CITIZENS who don't carry papers with them everywhere proving their citizenship, why aren't they up in arms?

This question refers directly to the "fairness" issue...if the right/tea partiers are for fairness, explain this obvious discrepancy.

I answered the question and I'm a leftist. Are you expecting an answer from every single leftist here? I'm not expecting an answer from every single rightist here, just from the person who BROUGHT UP THE TOPIC IN THE FIRST PLACE. And that would be... you!

So, when will YOU answer the question?

No, it's not. Like I said, we've embargoed and sanctioned LOTS of countries without making exceptions to our immigration policies. Why are we making an exception for Cuba? Just like "Dead is dead", "Fair is fair".

Thank you for that sock-puppetry, Rappy. So, are you going to answer the question?
