The following article describes how Hollywood abuses its writers. It is no surprise that Hollywood movies are crap because, if the big-shots can't understand how to be civilized and decent with their writers the big-shots can't understand their audiences, either. Quote:When studios can say that a movie succeeded on a streaming platform without an independent way to verify the claim, it makes it impossible to identify the true failures. "'Big flop' as a term, or 'bomb,' doesn't mean anything," Michael said. "They keep those numbers to themselves, and there's no clear metric like a ticket sale. "If a studio has a choice, they're not going to set up a second paradigm where they have to constantly announce that these plans backfire or these embarrassing flops."

Quote:Oh yeah... This is also a worse opening weekend than both Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire ($61 Million) or The Fall Guy ($64.4 Million), even though it cost $68 Million more to make than Ghostbusters and $43 Million more than The Fall Guy.

This was regarding Furiosa's paltry $58.5 Million worldwide opening weekend on it's $168 Million budget. Furiosa cost quite a bit more to make than both of these other movies, yet its opening was the weakest of the 3. Ghostbusters hit $200 Million worldwide when rounding up, but there's a pretty decent chance now that it doesn't even hit a legitimate $200 Million before it exits theaters even though it is only $350k short of that, given how little it is making per day and how few theaters it's still being shown in. And I have some serious doubts that The Fall Guy will even hit $200 Million too. That one still needs another $56.2 Million to get there and it won't ever make over $1 Million per day on week days again (save possibly today's holiday) and probably has only one weekend left where it will hit over $1 Million per day over the weekend. And it appears the US/International gross income is a virtual 50/50 split, so however poorly it does in the US from here on out will likely be mirrored in the international money. I'm not going to put an exact figure on my prediction for The Fall Guy yet, but I doubt it hits $200 Million worldwide and I imagine it will fall quite a bit shorter from that landmark than Ghostbusters did. -------------------------------------------------- Trump will be fine. He will also be your next President.
