Unfortunately there's a number of scarey folks like this, especially in Christianity, I've very sorry to say. Taunting them only makes them worse. Actually, pretty much anything you say to them makes them worse as they've got minds like closed beartraps. I generally just ignore them.

However in this case, I, as a Catholic, request to be on the idiot's list. Any god that tells people to act as hate-mongering twits sure isn't my God.

I agree with that statement wholeheartedly--and is the reason that I just sit back--read--and just shake my head. I've had these discussions with these types of people in my life for a very long time. You can't get anywhere with this kind of thinking. All you can do is feel so very relieved that you aren't the same. Also--a song comes to mind that as the years go by--I've found to be very true.
