CHRISISALL

Rocketed to Earth as a small child from his home planet, Distractem, and taken in as a foster child by Ma and Pa Bush, he now fights a neverending battle for distortion and circumvention of the facts, selective justice, and the Corporate-American way!
He draws power from his neo-con human batteries, such as Lynchaj and Hero (along with most red-state folk), to do battle with the likes of SignyM, SeargentX, Rue, Ginobiffaroni, Citizen, R1Z, SevenPercent, HKCavalier, and a host of others (Chrisisall hides from him like the bitty little punk that he is).

LOOK! Up in the sky!
Is it the truth? Is he being plain?
NO!
It's CANARDMAN!

This fall on the FOX network Chrisisall

SEVENPERCENT

You forgot Sevenpercent, who is unto Rue as Robin is unto Batman - Or some other comic sidekick who shows his head rarely to assist the superhero against the forces of evil-

------------------------------------------
He looked bigger when I couldn't see him.

UNLESS...
Canardman tricked him into believing there was no real fight, and then distracted him with reports of WMD's (weird malevolent demons) so as Superman could get the drop on him.
Of course, then Canardman would use Batman's Kryptonite gizmo to finish the job himself, 'cause he likes to come out on top...

And then there's some of us who stagger out of our dissertation-induced caves, weakly lob a grenade or two at canardman, and then slink back underground for another month or so...

Nah. The second soupcatchermobile doesn't fit. Cave opening too small. The first soupcatchermobile is sitting dead under a tarp .

Here's soupcatchermobile #2 on her maiden voyage (California to Texas and back in a weekend).

Nice bullet-proof doors, and the bp glass is very normal-lookin'.
Is it solar or fusion powered?

Canardman's is hot-air powered Chrisisall

Don't they have roads out your way? That might be why your first vehicle didn't last.

What's even funnier is that you're pretty close to the truth.

When I moved from LA to a rural county for undergrad one of the things I liked to do was to explore all the back roads I could find. Unfortunately, my car was a 1980 Mazda 626 coupe. I'm sure all the bouncing and scraping and general abuse I put that car through contributed to its giving up the ghost at the age of 19. It's too bad, I was hoping to make it to 300k.

Now I'm getting all nostalgic for that car and some of the adventures we had. Creeping over Shasta summit in a snowstorm with a tire chain on only one tire and that chain lashed on with wire scavenged from my audio system... Breaking an axle doing 70 and having my left rear tire assembly walk its way out and bounce away while the rear end sat down and I sparked to a stop... And many many more.

Good times. Great car.
