The make movies about us, that's so sweet:

In the most expensive Turkish movie ever made, American soldiers in Iraq crash a wedding and pump a little boy full of lead in front of his mother. They kill dozens of innocent people with random machine gun fire, shoot the groom in the head, and drag those left alive to Abu Ghraib prison where a Jewish doctor cuts out their organs, which he sells to rich people in New York, London and Tel Aviv. "Valley of the Wolves Iraq" set to open in Turkey on Friday feeds off the increasingly negative feelings many Turks harbor toward their longtime NATO allies: Americans.

We make movies about aliens from space trying to destroy the planet...
It's almost not funny.

I believe the general loss of trust and respect the international community is beginning to feel for the US is entirely their fault and problem.

I gather they're just jealous.

I liked the movie painting Condi as a stripper better tho, she wouldn't be half bad lookin if she'd just get that swallowed a cinderblock look off her face and lighten up a little.

PS - yes, that one was Turkish too, part of it is also that they're pissed we wouldn't let em gun down the Kurds tho.

Well,

That is a wicked and unbelievable movie.

But unfortunately I CAN imagine a movie about Americans who visit a foreign country, and find themselves under attack. Their organs end up being harvested and sold to rich people who need them.

I'd swear there was a movie or two like that last year.

I can also imagine a US movie where foreign terrorists attack Americans and blow them away in front of their families and bystanders.

I'd swear we get a couple of those every year.

So maybe the foreigners are just catching up to where we've been for a while now, eh?

I expect at least one American is shown as not liking his lot as a killer, you know, to give the movie balance.
Like in American movies there's always one terrorist that shows disdain for his role in peeps deaths, and gets smacked or shot for it; that sort of thing brings us all together, don't you think?

Let me tell you about the countries of the world.....
5% are great countries with proud histories and traditions of justice & equality, proud traditions of fighting evil and liberating billions of people from history's tyrants and mass murderers in their demented quests for world dominance, and proud histories of spending trillions of dollars to help others less fortunate recover from the aftermaths of evil madmens' foiled fantasies.
The remaining 95% of the world's countries are currently and generally historically nothing more than selfish, gutless cowards & pisspots.

I guess if they make a movie about it, it MUST be true! The Day After Tomorrow, An Inconvienant Truth . I know the NAZIS use to make propaganda films comparing Jews to plague spreading rats. I suppose that justifies that whole holocaust thing then, huh ?

missing the point slightly auraptor, it's not meant to be true (although some of it's based on truth, kind of like when hollywood films are "inspired" by true events).

no one's saying it's a documentary but that this is their opinion of you, this is what they pay to go see of an evening just like you might pay to go see propaganda about how evil and nasty the A-rabs are.

Oh, I don't need to see propaganda. All I need to see is the 9/11 tapes again. Or vids of heads being sawed off innocent civilians by masked men, while praising allah. All that and much much more can be found on the internet, nightly news. all for nuttin.

But use those powers of ignorance all ya want. Seems to be working for ya.

But that's your problem, AUR - you only see things from one side, ours. You see the 'evil arabs' who saw heads off and crash planes. In a way, you're just like some of them. All they see are US bombs dropped on wedding parties, and US made munitions blowing the hands and legs off children. At what point do you stop and say, "hmmm, I wonder if the other guy has a point?" Or, "Do they really see us as evil too?" The example of this movie makes a good point - who are their villains that blow stuff up unjustly? Answer - we are.

You - and them - perpetuate the problem by saying, "well, the other guy started it, when they stop we will," and if anyone suggests that maybe we should stop it first, you call them anti-American.

It's never going to end until the two sides either kill each other off, or one side decides that today is the day to stop. If we want to lead the world, we need to lead by example. Maybe we should stop first.

Just my 7%.

If we led by example, if we'd played it SMART, we coulda assumed a leadership role in the UN and eventually co-opted it to our purposes.

Instead we sent in cowboys like Bolton who present our image to the world muchlike that of a screaming two year old stung by a bee in his sandbox throwing a tantrum and flinging toys about in a rage.

We coulda had everything we wanted and make em happy to give it to us, but the egos of the powers that be were more important than the end goal, and in their effort to feed them, they starved the plan.

Dumbasses.

When you wanna get your way in court, do you bring a slick, cunning shyster who could sell ice to eskimos and get them to pay him extra for the privledge, or do you bring the high school football coach who manages to offend EVERYONE he's ever spoken to in his entire life ?

Not all conflicts are decided on battlefields, but the pride and ego of the jackass cowboys in power at this time has cost us any hope of a diplomatic solution that in any way benefits us.

Above all things, I loathe incompetence.

How about the vids of Iraqi's being beaten senseless by US- trained police while the US Marines in the background shout such encouraging little gems as "Whoop his ass" and "AK to the back of the head, I love it , man."
But wait. That was filmed by British journalists so it cant be true can it?
