I was loading nukes on supersonic bombers with cops pointing machine guns at me, not watching live TV, so perhaps it was a live radio propaganda broadcast, or live satelite feed during commercial break, later repeated on live TV.

Even at the time, I didn't think it was funny. I bet the Russians went to Defcon 10, or whatever. (Unless the entire Cold War was rigged.)

That's why it's a crime to yell fire in a movie theater. Reagan didn't even recognize his own son at his high school graduation in the 1970s, so he was already senile before elected president.

I get the Reagan quote confused with Junior Bush constantly saying he's a dictater on live TV, or was it Memorex?

McCain is a great patriot but he's misguided, he is old and McCain's mind is still stuck in the 1950s, he's a man who gladly accepts contributors from Georgia almost provoking them into a WW3 scenario. Americans from this supposedly a free, independent people — swallow whatever line the government wants them to believe - BS lines on Health Care, 911, Hurricanes, Housing, Gas Taxes and Saddam's WMD program. All theold Reagan supporters and Bush-Snr camps are extinct, either gone or forcibly removed from the current Republican party, it is a party which has been hijacked by Neo-Cons and a party which will destroy our nation with their insane spending bankrupting this country. The way these Neo-Cons constantly stamp all over and muddy the constitution proves they don't really have true Republican values. BushCo and the NeoCons are unhappy we just won the cold war, they and the crazy evangelical Christians would have rather it all ended in in some Nuclear winter and the second coming of the Lord. BushCo weren't content with the break up of the USSR the chicken hawks would have rather we won it in war and seen a few of our cities vanish in radioactive flames just to say we out punched them in a big dirty nuclear fight. Too bad most of us would have an ugly life living in fallout shelters. NATO is part of the problem, NATO has been jobless since the break up of the USSR and fueled by Bush schemes soon announced plans to site anti-missile defenses in Poland , supposedly to defend against nuclear missiles from Iran -- a country with no ICBMs nor nuclear weapons, they seem to be trying to launch a Scud but it will only reach as far as Greece or Saudi Arabia - they can never touch us. When Condi Rice rushed to Poland last week to sign a deal to build a missile defense base there and no doubt line the pockets of the Bush cronies and LockMart political contributors who will build it, it was transparent which country was being given a warning - a big F-You to the Russians. Now just in case a new Cold war, StarWars programs and such weren't enough to bait The Bear, we also built a crucial oil pipeline from Azerbaijan through Georgia to cut Russia out of any new energy deals. It's no secret that the Bush administration is overrun with old Cold Warriors like Cheney and Rice who can't get Russia out of their heads, and check out Karl Rove vacationing around Georgia right before war.
