But, the gun is not exactly pointed away, either. If he were to accidentally slip, he'd cut her body in half, right near where the legs join the torso.

Sheesh ... What are they teaching them in the Israeli military nowadays, anyway ? What I learned was you ALWAYS point the muzzle at the ground, and if you're not pointing it there, you aim-and-shoot. You never, EVER aim a gun anywhere but at the ground without shooting.

You're absolutely right, the reflection off his finger nail makes it hard to see detail. That would be highly unusual for a military guy to have his finger on the trigger and not be pulling it.
