I expressed concern this morning with the opening up with a spending spree policy, because this has not been the hallmark of good leadership. But it's a mild cautious concern.

I find these personal attacks on Obama distasteful and partisan. IMHO: They also make us look bad.

Give the guy a chance. I mean, sure, there's a lot to worry about there, and there's some definite relief from recent corrupt incompetence, so maybe some hope. I'm staying neutral, but we should be cautiously optimistic and skeptical at the same time.

If he does something disastrously bad, then he deserves the open fire. Until then, my recommendation? Chill. Otherwise the right becomes the boy who cried wolf. If he start a war, wrecks the economy, causes the nation to implode, loses our remaining allies (what do we have left? I think we have Japan and maybe a couple of others. ;) ) But still, these things are "really blowing it." Bush really blew it, I think objectively even he might admit that. Certainly his admin. did.

As for the talking heads and talk radio, whozit is right about one thing: whores. These people say what they're paid to say, they can't be taken any more seriously than arianna huffington or al franken. John McCain and Sarah Palin are willing to give the guy a chance.

The laughs are more at RahmBO's expense than at Barry's...

I feel much the same as you do , but for the persistently lingering matter of his birthplace and citizenship...

Despite the Kenyan ambassador to the US asserting that Barry's birthplace in Kenya is already a national monument ; and CFR-member Brian Williams repeat of a brag (on Letterman's show) that Kenya is now the principal exporter of US pResidents , and the fact that Barry's birth in Coast General Hospital in Mombasa is being obscured ; folk are very willing to give him a 'carte blanche' pass...
