It remains unclear whether any party other than the Security Council can make the determination that Iraq breached Resolution 1441, as UN members commented that it is not up to one member state to interpret and enforce UN resolutions for the entire council."

America loves a winner!

The Security Council voted 15-0 to pass 1441, giving it wider approval than even the first Gulf War.

"As much as I respect what he's doing, really the economy is something he should focus on more than the brackets. "
- Duke University basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, after Obama snubbed Duke in his Final Four picks.

The U.S. economy WAS on fire under Bush, for 6 years. Until the Democrats took control of Congress. It's been all down hill since then.

But THEY INDICATED THAT going to war was something the Security Council should decide, not one or two members. Are you too thick to get that? Or just avoiding it?
Bottom line, we used UN reasons to go to war, but not UN authority.
In simpler language, Bush & Cheney did what they wanted.

No they didn't , they did what the U.N. allowed them to do.

Ancient history anyways, move on.

and now the UN will no longer have any " stick " in any resolution so no one member can wantonly misrepresent the entire security council, making the UN even more useless, that it had been previously... good job USa

in addition, the majority of the countries on the security council ( with the exception of the US and Britain ) wanted to drop the sanctions much less invade.

No, I'm right, I'm proven right, and I'm bored with the game y'all are playing. Your sole reason for being such contrarian dick heads is that you don't like Bush, and this is so much more than just about the former Prez.

Actually we know exactly how he's effing-up and its pretty much what we said he was going to do all along.

Tax, spend, repeat is the typical liberal way of doing business. Obama is different...he wants to spend, tax, repeat. Thats change we can believe in...pocket change...

Seems more sensible than the Don't tax and spend spend spend approach of the American right.

As opposed to the tinkle-on Republican way: borrow, spend, repeat until the economy crashes.

The "On Fire" Economy -
The Dow closed at 10,587.60 on January 20, 2001, the day GW Bush took office. Eight years later, it closed below 8000 on the day he left office - a net loss of 25%. That's what conservatives call an economic "success".

You drone on and on about random & undeserved Bush-hatred, and that he is the focus of our rants, and you do not realize that WE realize that the havoc he's unleashed upon us is NOT his doing alone; he had SO many accomplices. Like Hitler, he is the shorthand target for what went wrong, but make no mistake, we do not see him as some version of Satan, he is merely a tool for the overall sickness of the society's powerful puppet masters.
