After a couple years eating vegetables only, eating animal products now upsets my stomach. Something to do with not being able to process the protein anymore.

Just thinking about it makes me queasy... Although, strangely enough, I still salivate at the smell of a roast in the oven.

Clearly, I have a disconnect between imagining the food and the knowledge of the nausea after eating the food.

I eat *mostly* vegetables, but I do get cravings for bacon or a good steak. I figure a decent steak once every couple months isn't going to be the death of me.

Tonight I'm cooking grilled salmon - a small salmon fillet marinaded in a simple white wine sauce with spices, served over a bed of long grain and wild rice, with a spinach and carrot salad on the side, and a cup of fruit (blackberries, fresh pineapple, strawberries, and bananas) for desert. Simple, easy, and fairly healthy.

But part of me still really wants a steak

Shaolin Soccer. That would be soooo cool.

2)Is it just me, or does football suck?
Football fields were made for marching bands and drum corps. Soccer f'in rocks.

3)If you could make a movie about any fictional character at all who would it be?
Wonder Woman. Nah. A decent Nancy Drew movie more like the old serials.

I can't be the only person who'd like a movie about Col. Deering.

And Book of course. We need Book.

4)Climb a mountain or dive an ocean trench?
Both.

5)Favourite book or one currently enthralled with.
Currently reading the Sookie Stackhouse books. Not thrilled with the writing style, but I"m told they get better the further into the series you read.

Odd Thomas is a guilty pleasure read for me.

6)Guilty pleasure.
Fluff up my hair. Put on a stretched-out over-sized tee and leggings. Turn up the volume to 11. Put in the CD. Dance to Heartbreaker, Love is a Battlefield, All Fired Up, and Hit me with Your Best Shot.

My mother's homemade chocolate covered Grand Marnier cherries that she only makes two times a year.

In order for something to suck, it's gotta matter.

Valentine Michael Smith, The Invisible Man (Ralph Ellison, of course), Huck Finn (a real adult movie version), Tyrion Lanister.

I think I'll be joining Frem in his sub.

The books the answers to #3 came from will do in a pinch.

I'm currently obsessed with most of the VH1 bottom feeder reality shows, but I can only bring myself to watch the last 15 minutes or so of an episode of I Love Money 2.
