Pathetic cites by pathetic sources: "midnight weekend votes" came about because the Republicans blocked by filibuster. They were forced to have a REAL filibuster and they caved after hours of offering ridiculous amendments they knew were ridiculous.

The message is crystal clear — the state owns the bodies of its subjects and they will be required to come crawling to officialdom in order to prevent the looting of their organs.

Ignoring the lies and idiocy, note it's not a law, just a bill introduced; organs are donated AFTER THE PERSON DIES, and anyone can opt out of the program.

Many people are just too lazy to put the little sticker on the back of their driver's license. It's great that they're being made to CONTEMPLATE the issue and DECIDE (which most would) if they want their organs donated.

That was a pathetic attempt to slant facts; you can't do better than THAT??? Waste of my time to refute it, but I'm doing it for the INTELLIGENT people here to spare them their time, certainly not for you.

Ehm, technically not true. If you die in a car accident and you're a donor, they can often still use the organs. And there are grave robbers especially in eastern europe who make a lot of money raiding morgues and digging up fresh graves to steal the organs.

Though, if you were to give a kidney to a sick relative, or part of your liver, or part of a lung, that can be done while you're still alive. Possibly other organs too.

Now you may have a valid point about hospitals intentionally letting patients die or even killing them for organs. We probably won't ever know, since you'd have to find proof of intention. But you're contradicting yourself by saying that you can only harvest organs while alive, then also claiming hospitals kill people for organs. The first one is wrong, the second one might possibly be true.
