We had an incident up here recently, over in Bandemer Park, and I feel the need to point out some stuff.

No matter how polite the papers wanna gloss is over, this is jackboot bull shit, right here.

Firstoff - this is a public park, in the middle of a freaking Sunday, ok, and these are members of the public.

Now, as for said anonymous tip - IF there even was one, which I kinda happen to doubt, that person needs be charged with filing a false report, because when you strip the bullshit off, ALL of this amounts to "Get those undesirables out of here!" - mind you, this was a public park, and Ann Arbor's legalese on nudity is kind of iffy at the best of times, plus they're just freakin prudes.

Okay, I'll hold it to one line - but goddamn, torture, murder and all manner of violence all over our society every day is A-ok, but gawd forbid the sight of the human body in it's natural (or unnatural, as may be) state, what a tragedy ?

AND, there was no marijuana, cause if there had been so much as a damn dime bag you KNOW this news story would have been crowing it from the fucking rafters, and no public sex whatever, just bullshit accusations thrown in there to give the A2 police an excuse to act like the jackbooted thugs they are.

Tell me, what RIGHT do they have, to tell members of the public, to get the hell out of a public park on a Sunday afternoon, to revoke their right to peaceable assembly ?
None whatever!

And so, they arrest them for what ?
Resisting arrest, of COURSE.
"Contempt of Cop", as it were, as if they were fucking petty lordlings or something...
(can you smell lawsuit, damn sure *I* can!)

Allowing this shit, not speaking against it, has some harsh, hard consequences, not JUST in that Police have gone "rabid" to where even the most dedicated bootlicker has to admit there's a problem....

And that leads to the next post here.

Here's a couple classic, textbook, and well researched examples of what the problem is, and how it affects everyone in the jurisidiction or not simply by defiling the concept of the profession far beyond anything Robert Peel could have ever imagined.

Maywood, RIP: When Police Kill A City

ill-city.html

And my hat is off to Mister Grigg cause while I knew and mentioned many of the problems, he did his homework and dug DEEP on this one.

Now consider how many OTHER towns have departments every bit as nasty, as corrupt, and that some element of that sleazes into EVERY police dept, drop by drop, every single time we just accept abuse without a stern foot up the ass every time a cop acts like some petty lordling instead of a public servant - cause their idea of public "service" seems to involve "servicing" the public in much the same fashion as a stallion "services" a mare, you ask me.

And that, well, it's lead to the kind of incident I've dreaded, which is the next post.

Police Station in TX attacked
http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/08/18/texas.shooting/?hpt=Sbin

I think we can file this under "saw that coming", cause sooner or later, you push people enough, you close off every avenue of recourse, they WILL do crazy shit, and it starts with folks who are a bit cracked to begin with, but then other folk who feel the have nothing to lose get... ideas.

Like that jackass who kamikazied an IRS building, you keep pushin people to the wall, keep laughing in their faces while you shit on the principles this country was founded on from behind a government office or a badge, sooner or later, VIOLENCE WILL ENSUE.

And so it did, here.

This isn't about guns, or their availability, or terrorism, or any of the shit that folks are no doubt going to pretend it is as an excuse to push an agenda, this is about folks sick and tired of the people supposed to be protecting them instead preying on and abusing them, at every level from the Oval Office on down to the street cop who shoves you into a wall and threatens to arrest you for not being servile enough for his liking.

This and the coffee shop ambush are merely the most public and well known incidents, but there *has* been a rise in direct-targeted violence and vandalism specifically against police, and it's only getting worse.

But yanno, I don't much feel sorry for em - although I favor the far more effective and less bloody method of hacking their budget down in response to bad behavior, even if that means chopping it to a dead flat zero.

And OF COURSE the police will use this as an excuse to feed the cycle, to get even more nasty, militant, abusive, in the name of "officer safety" when the REAL officer safety comes from a public that doesn't find them fucking despicable, as Robert Peel noted at the very beginning...

And THAT will lead... to IEDs and ambushes, right here, in america, bagdad come home to roost, not because of terrorism or someone elses religion, but simply because no one wants to take their blue suited, badge bearing, wanna be jackboots to heel for their own conduct.

So what's it gonna be folks, addressing the total corruption of our so called "system" from the street cop to the alphabet goons, and admitting that circuit courts are laughable rubber stamp bread and circuses instead of dispensers of justice ?

Or is it gonna be bombs and bullets, back alleys and bloodshed ?

You have the power, right in your fist, one stroke of the pen and they cannot AFFORD to abuse the people under their protection, no need to threaten them with laughable prosecution under a system they have an absolute lock on, when you can threaten them with layoffs and pink slips, something far scarier to them than internal affairs will ever be.

Ballots or Bullets, your choice, people.
