In response to the latest thread trend of having a circle-cry over the offensive things people say...

Um... get over it?

Its free speech.

And... "If you can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen."

I mean really.

Yeah, Kane saying he wants to rape the corpse of Niki is.... ok, well it IS pretty offensive.

But so what?

No, things like that probably do not further calm discussion...

But, again, so waht?

I mean, what do you expect to do about it? Tell on them? Cry? Go to your parents and whine until THEY do something about it?

Look, its a simple lesson we should have all learned before. (Like when we were children...)

Someone says something to you, or about you that you dont like... you've got a couple of choices.

1. Give as good as you get. For example: Niki could say she wants to rape Kanes corpse.

2. Demand an apology. Well thats not going to happen anytime soon.

3. Kick the snot out of the one talking about you. Can't really do that.

4. IGNORE THEM.

5. Try and reason with them. But that means your argument must be reasonable. And the person your argument directed at is willing to listen.

5. A combination of those.

But hey... thats just MY opinion...

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I think it belongs in the thread on the subject, not as a separate thread. Are you afraid to add it to the pertinent discussion, or just want to get attention by starting your own thread on the subject?

You and others accuse so easily of "whining". What else is this thread? I'm sure you don't see it that way, but that's how it comes across and that's, in my opinion, what it IS.

As children, we SHOULD have learned not to behave as children, but to speak to one another as adults. A good proportion of us have never learned that lesson. Obviously you're not capable of understanding (or choose not to understand) the purpose of the thread in question or that it has as much validity as many posted here.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the issue at hand. I've never had any problem with people disagreeing with me or disliking my "belief structure" (do you even know what that means?). It is trolls, who come here to do nothing than attempt to trigger people and have (or choose to have) no self-control in doing so which is the question at hand, that I find reprehensible. However, it is more complex issues which instigated the experiment.

The arrogance is yours, in deciding you have the right to put up an entire thread just to express your disdain for the experiment...and I can't help wondering if it's also fear that kept you from discussing it IN the thread...fear or the need to call more attention to your opinion than by just responding to the subject where it is already being discussed.

Beyond that, you have nothing to say in this pseudo-thread.

Niki, you bring many topics and much interest to this forum, and for that alone I respect you a lot. True, we never or rarely agree on anything, and true, I've gotten upset with many of your posts, but I feel strongly that no one deserves the vile attacks that have been hurled at you recently. Jeeesh, if anything, you'd think the mood from the Right would be a bit more festive and big-hearted after the recent election, but I suppose some simply don't have the ability to emote or act like human beings. And they're actually proud of that! Honestly, it makes me sick to read some responses you get.

Don't ever let these juvenile thugs and cretins intimidate you in any way, and don't sink to their level either. Just keep posting honestly and cleanly, and you'll never go wrong, and you'll always have my respect.

And yes, it would be nice if the people in question from the extreme right were able to enjoy their "victory" without needing to make it more "We hate you" and their continued attacks, but it didn't surprise me. They are angry people (not "the right", but those few here).

They certainly don't intimidate me, or hurt me, but tho' I try, I know I keep slipping back into giving like I get, so I just keep trying to start at square one again.

To have your respect honors me. I'll continue to try to live up to it. Thanx again.
