"It" is being EARNED by those who work for IT the most. The govt should focus more on what it's suppose to do, and not re-engineer the socio-economic landscape of the country.

That was not hard.

That one's about collecting taxes, and about inter-state commerce. We're a bit fuzzy about the uniformity across state bit on that.

Now you could argue that once taxes have been collected that congress could pass a law to use the tax money for the general welfare of the public including charity (and they have), but the specifics aren't contained in what you quoted, and welfare has a broader sense there than how you're using it.

Although since you mention it, back in the times the Constitution was drafted and they were figuring out the tax code, there actually were some systems of secular welfare in place, which is part of the reason the FF never spelled out specific measures. If people had spent more time managing those systems, they might not have befallen the tragedy of the commons and they might be widespread nowadays.

Nick you haven't been here long as far as I can tell, so let me clue you in to Rappy: He is a dyed-in-the-wool flat-earther when it comes to certain topics. In fact, the more you argue with him, the more you entrench him in his position. I looked up the psychopathology of delusions. It turns out that people who have delusions experience a jolt of dopamine (the reward chemical) every time they "think" they're made a "successful" argument, whether it made any sense or not. When rappy is fearful, he comes here to get his fix. Maybe if rappy was left to quietly ponder his ideas, they would fall apart.

What you read also explains why Wulf and Raptor are so hung up on thinking they "won" an argument (I would say a "debate", but that's not even close to what they do).

But leaving him alone wouldn't work; first off, like PN he's no doubt on enough forums to get his fix somewhere. Second, "pondering" isn't something I envision him ever doing. More like
