Lawyer for one of the accused says that by discussing specifics of the cases in television interviews, Cain has waived any confidentiality agreements that were part of the settlement(s) he agreed to.

Meanwhile, his "super-PAC" claims that this is just racism, a "high-tech lynching" on par with the Clarence Thomas affair.

Cain, however, has said repeatedly that racism really doesn't exist anymore, and isn't holding anyone back, so obviously he won't back up what his handlers are saying.

Right?

Cain never signed any confidentiality agreement in the 1st place, so all this is pretty silly. He wasn't a party to any discussion of payment, hasn't had a chance to face his accusers, or even hear what specifically he was alleged to have done.

Bill Clinton survived the Jennifer Flowers scandal which also broke about a year out before the election of 1992, but he had Begala, Carville, and Morris advising him on damage control and media manipulation. If only Cain had smart guys like that handling his case. I guess the Marlboro Man was out back on a smoke break for ten days.

Apparently the Marlboro Man needed a smoke after all that groping that's been going on with Cain - just look at Cain's face after the guy takes that long drag on the cigarette! I can only assume Morris is out sucking the toes of hookers again, which explains his absence.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

The whole thing is a joke, as is Cain. His handling of this issue alone has been enough to disqualify him for President, IF he was really running, which he's not, so why should he care?

Since initially denying it completely in the stronget terms possible, his version has flip-flopped more often than Romney on the issues, as I heard last night and I think is very right on. But his latest, claiming he held his hand under his chin to say "you're about the same height as my wife" and that somehow the complainant took that the wrong way, hence the accusations, belongs on a comedy show...a BAD comedy show.

He's a nonentity--the ONLY people in America who (at least pretend to) take his explanations seriously are the die-hard righties who either a) Will admit no wrong on ANY right-winger's part and blame everything on some kind of conspiracy by the "left-wing" media, and b) Those Republicans/Tea Baggers desperate not to vote for Romney. Other than them: He's a joke.

(Just had a thought...close your eyes and imagine what you'd be reading from our righties if it were ANY Democrat in Cain's place. See a) above, then have a good laugh.)

Cain " really IS " running for President, he "really IS " currently leading or is at the top of the GOP polls, and Cain "really IS " a viable candidate.

Clinton really DID have an affair with Ginnifer Flowers, ( there were tapes of him on her voice mail, if you recall ) and he really DID have a sexual relationship with an intern, a girl just a few years older than his daughter, WHILE IN THE OVAL OFFICE ! And let's not forget about Paula Jones or Juanita Broadrick, both of which we know their names AND what Clinton allegedly did to them.

There's no evidence Cain has done ANYTHING wrong, and you want to pretend that he should be disqualified from the race, because of no - named accusers making empty, nondescript charges ? From some 15 years ago ?

Niki, just face it. You're scared of the possibility of a REAL black man in the White House.
