Well, as we all knew, it's working for them; the voter ID laws ALEC so nicely slipped in, in so many states, is doing exactly what they and the Republicans planned on its doing:
Quote:

A coalition of Black and Latino voters along with the socially moderate youth bloc is quickly becoming the left’s safety net, even in tight elections. But as the Washington Post reported Friday, there’s a problem:
Quote:

[T]his is the first time in nearly four decades that the number of registered Hispanics has dropped significantly.

That figure fell 5% across the country, to about 11 million, according to the Census Bureau. But in some politically important swing states, the decline among Hispanics, who are considered critical in the 2012 presidential contest, is much higher: just over 28% in New Mexico, for example, and about 10% in Florida.

In total, the number of registered blacks and Hispanics across the country declined by 2 million from 2008 to late 2010, when the Census Bureau collected the data through its Current Population Survey.

The figure among blacks is down 7%, to just over 16 million. Among whites, it dropped 6% to 104 million.

On top of that, playing catchup in 2012 will be inordinately difficult. Some Republican statehouses in recent years have enacted legislation imposing strict reporting requirements on groups that register voters. Compounding their problem is the fact that since 2008, 16 states have either passed new voter ID laws (four were vetoed) or strengthened requirements already on the books. That means that even if they get registered and get to the polls, some lower income and minority voters, who are less likely to have IDs, may be turned away. http://swampland.time.com/2012/05/04/bad-news-for-obama-democrats-have

Maybe it's down because many of them are as sick of Barry as MOST Americans are? You think because they're minoritys they're going to automatically vote Demorat? Barry and ALOT of Demorats are going to lose BIG in November even if they get most of the minority vote, and then I will LAUGH AT YOUR PAIN!!

Whatzit, do you even live in the same UNIVERSE as the rest of us?? Bad as some others are, you consistently make NO sense, are totally inarticulate, and obsess on ONE subject--now it's Obama, before it was Olbermann...listen, man, there's more to life than that. You sound about 12 years old--and not a very nice 12-year-old at that. Ach...pissing into the wind. Continue with your inanity...

GEEZER

Keep the Shiny side up

So registrations among Hispanics dropped 5% (580,000 or so), among non-Hispanic Whites they dropped 6%(around 6.6 million), and among Blacks they dropped 7% (1.2 million +-).

Assuming that ALL Hispanics and Blacks vote Democrat, the Dems have lost 1.8 million potential votes.

Assuming that HALF of all non-Hispanic Whites vote Republican, the Repubs have lost 3.3 million votes.

And the Democrats are whining about this?

Maybe they don't deserve to be in office.
