By the way, public sector jobs have been slashed since Obama came to office, and the private sector has been adding jobs for 27 months.

Which Romney? The one who was for it before he was against it, or the one who was against it before he was for it?

Or, as Romney would put it if he were asked if we should cut jobs, "Well, yes and no." Of course, that seems to be his position on everything. Or at least one of his positions on everything.

That's reason I've had the press conference.

That's why I've spent yesterday, the day before yesterday...

This past week, this past month, this past year...

Engineering ways it would make it look like I've made the economy stronger.

Thanks to GWB (Who left office in early 2009)... the Economy is not doing fine."

That's all I heard....

Thanks Barry. Even the woman who is hiring me for my part time, near minimum wage job can't believe that I'd be willing to work for that wage and was trying to get me into something closer to full time with a higher pay.

Kudos to you for not putting us all in a government line to collect cheese and bread though. I'll wait 4 more years for your Socialist successor to take over to finish the job.

Baby steps....

How the hell do people with college debt, a mortgage and children to worry about even live everyday without contemplating the "easy" way out?

Say what you will about Reagan, and in the state of the union today after Clinton, we have no reason to love our position....

But the only reason we lived in a country where the Police Academy movies were made was because our American dollar was so obscenely inflated to other countries currencies at the time where we could do no wrong....

Try starting a new Police Academy franchise today in 2012, and you'll learn the hard way the point I'm trying to make....

Sorry Chris, but Barry absolutely IS a socialist.

Quote:

Obama Belonged to Radical Socialist "New Party" in 1996

Stanley Kurtz, in his June 7 article "Obama's Third-Party History" for National Review Online, reports that Barack Obama’s connection to far-left radicals is much more recent that had been previously thought. On January 11, 1996, Kurtz notes, Obama joined the New Party, a radical socialist political movement deeply opposed to capitalism and of the opinion that the Democratic Party was far too moderate. The New Party sought to transform America into the sort of socialist democracy that is common in Europe.

Perhaps more importantly, Kurtz notes that when he first raised this issue in National Review a few weeks before the 2008 presidential election, the Obama campaign dismissed his story as a “crackpot smear,” firmly maintaining that their candidate had belonged to only one political party his whole life — the Democratic Party. On the Obama campaign's “Fight the Smears” website Carol Harwell stated: “Barack did not solicit or seek the New Party endorsement for the state senate in 1995.”

Kurtz bases his proof of Obama’s membership in the New Party on documents obtained from the Illinois ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) records at the Wisconsin Historical Society. Obama also signed a contract, Kurtz reveals, in which he promised that while in office he would publicly support and associate himself with the New Party. Kurtz quotes from the January 11, 1996 minutes of the Chicago chapter of the New Party:

Barack Obama, candidate for State Senate in the 13th Legislative District, gave a statement to the membership and answered questions. He signed the New Party "Candidate Contract" and requested an endorsement from the New Party. He also joined the New Party.

http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/politics/item/11652-obama-belonge
d-to-radical-socialist-new-party-in-1996

And don't even try to bring up Reagan in all this. That's beyond childish. Deal w/ the facts, as they are. Barry joined the New Party, a radical, Left wing Socialist outfit, intent on revolution. He requested endorsement, and JOINED the party.

I show you where he did in fact join a socialist party.

You counter with the claim that it's not RADICAL, ignoring the fact that a ) It's a socialist party, and b ) it called for a socialist revolution. Non violent, I suppose, is your qualifier for what is or isn't 'radical'?

Fair enough. But you can't claim that he's no 'socialist'. He is. He joined a socialist political party. And not waaaay back in college, when he was smokin' dope and protesting something, so he could hook up w/ coeds either. This was not too long ago in the recent history. Wise up.

How am I an 'idiot' for showing you to be wrong? Seriously..wake the hell up.

His mom was a Socialist. His bio dad was a Marxist. His mentor, 'uncle' Frank, was a communist. In Barry Jr's OWN words, he said he hung around w/ Socialists and Marxists teachers and students, at Occidental college. Said he felt more at home w/ them. His political career STARTED in the living room of a domestic home terrorist, in William Ayers, co-founder of The Weather Underground, a self described communist revolutionary group.

You'll ignore all that, and call me an 'idiot', because it's easier for you than dealing w/ the truth.

I must concur. If I were to label an ism to obama, alas, it would have to be fascist. I feel bad doing it, but he does enact his power through bank-centered corporate-govt. mergers, and believes in the supremacy of military might and subterfuge, assassination, torture, coercion, indefinite detention, pre-emptive military foreign policy, unlimited issuance of fiat currency, etc. It's not a half bad match, which is sad. And yeah, some of this was true under his predecessor, but more so now. And they're actually salting the earth with poisonous gas. I have no faith that under romney things would be any better, so i'm considering a vote for gary johnson.

You're not even making any sense. So what if you hung around black kids in HS ? What's that have to do w/ anything being discussed ? You're ignoring the facts and stubbornly tossing up anything and everything to distract from the issue.

Q: Why did Obama, when working briefly in the private sector, refer to it as being " behind enemy lines " ?

How's it working for you? That's been your trolling M.O. for years.

I posted a picture. Have you never done the same? I get that you don't like the picture, because it so clearly shows you for who you really are, but how is my posting of it trying to "drown out any and all discussion"? Seems to me like you're the one trying to drown out discussion around here; you keep yelling at others to stop posting, you love saying that you're right and that things aren't even debatable, and you enjoy trying to shout others down.

So why do you hate free speech? Why are you so threatened by an opposing view, or ANY view that doesn't march in lock-step with your own?

The issue as posted? The private sector has been adding jobs for more than 2 years, and you say we're fucked. Meanwhile, when the economy was shedding jobs at a rate not seen since the Great Depression, you claimed the economy (under Bush, of course) was "on fire".

The issue of Obama saying "the private sector is fine ", then coming back just hours later to claim that the ECONOMY absolutely isn't. Unemployment @ 8.2% ( yeah, right! ) , after we were told in '09 that passing the near $ 1 TRILLION dollar stimulus bill was critical, or unemployment would reach 8% !! That was 3 YEARS ago!

You're not addressing THAT issue, at all. And I can understand why.

This has zero to do w/ free speech, nothing to do w/ Bush, at all. But keep up with your evasive M.O. Seems that's all you have.

You said Obama hung around socialists as if that permanently made HIM a socialist. Then I said I hung around black kids to show that you're indeed correct- I became black. People always become precisely & lastingly like those they associate with for a while.

You idiot.

That? He's a flip flopping idiot, so what? All politicians are. Every single one. He said something stupid, then he had to correct it. So what? What grand discovery have you made here? That politicians can be STUPID???? Did you just discover fire also? There's this new thing called the 'wheel'....

Chris - you equate skin color to political view points?

I don't

And he's doing more than mere flip flopping. Read what he says again.

You're not even making any sense. So what if you don't equate skin colour with political view points ? What's that have to do w/ anything being discussed ? You're ignoring the facts and stubbornly tossing up anything and everything to distract from the issue.

You can't understand that the private sector isn't the entire economy, or that one part can be doing great while another decidedly ISN'T? Hell, you only have to look at income inequality to realize that!

I can explain it *TO* you, but I cannot understand it *FOR* you.

No, Mike, too much detail here. He only understands 'good' & 'bad'. Complex shades of grey & seemingly opposing concepts confuse him; better to just say that Obama is a stupid politician & leave it at that. I mean, what was Obama supposed to do? Lay it ALL out piece by piece? Rappy couldn't get what he said when he was simplifying it. But I will admit, saying those two things so close together is confusing to some, and that should have been taken into account.
Everything should be in Rappy dummy-talk.

Umm..I was never a 'liberal'. Where'd you get that idea ? I AM a 'libertarian', if that's what you're trying to say. Conservative Libertarian, of the Thomas Jefferson variety.

You know, where govt is necessary, but let's try to make it as limited as possible sort ?

2 things. 1st, I DO understand that the private sector isn't the entire economy. But Obama only seems to be concerned about the public sector, and thinks that that is what drives the entire economy. It doesn't.

2nd, The private sector is NOT "fine". 8.2% unemployment ? Hello. And I see empty stores and closed down businesses all over the place, where once there use to be a thriving economy. And this just shows how completely out of touch Obama IS with the rest of the REAL America.

Obama quickly realized how his dis of the private sector was being received all across the country, which is he went into full CYA mode, and came back w/ this half assed 'correction' of what he had just said. Only he didn't fully walk it back, he said 'economy' , and not 'private sector'. He STILL doesn't get it. He thinks BIG BUSINESS is all that there is in the private sector, and doesn't give two flips about the little guy, the small businesses of America.

What kind of moron believes "BIG BUSINESS is all there is in the private sector?" Do you honestly think that Barack Obama is an utter moron, somewhere south of Sarah Palin in his grasp of economics? From a guy so fond of sticking to the facts, this is pure columny. Do you ever get tired?

Why'd he say the private sector is doing 'fine' then? Why are you asking me to explain HIS asinine comments ?

Rappy. Rappy thinks that.

Nothing Obama said indicates that he believes that, but that's the first place Rappy's head goes. And remember, this is the guy who based his entire understanding of the "on fire" economy on the stock market and what Wall Street said.

Odd that he doesn't like it when others do that...
