3 letters now ( so far ) addressed to Obama and 2 GOP members of Congress, arriving 1-2 days after the Boston bombings.

Who the hell has ricin lying around, ready to pop in the mail, @ a moments notice?

Ties to the pressure cooker attacks? Tax day terrorists?

( bomber suspect caught ! ) ... Hope it's the right bastard !!!

Likely would've been mailed BEFORE the bombings.

And it's not like ricin is hard to make or anything.

Seems they know who sent the ricin, and it's some grumpy guy who has been sending those in D.C. some sort of angry letters for some time.

Only this time, he sent something else as well.

Letters were post marked BEFORE the bombings, which isn't exactly a shocker, but don't seem to be connected.

*edit* Named the guy, who seems to be from Mississippi. Letters were postmarked out of Memphis, TN, so maybe this guy is a casino employee , living in Tunica, MS ?

You know, I'd be very, VERY interested in a chemical analysis of that particular sample of substance, and here's why...

You might recall that during the former administration a similar problem reared its head and we discussed it here - and as soon as the evidence started pointing to a trucking company owned by rightwingnuts instead of middle eastern terrorists, that administration dropped the investigation entire like it was a hot rock.

Ergo, I'd be quite interesting in seeing a chemical analysis comparing this sample to THOSE batches, and whether they match or not.

Side note to that, is wanting some independant oversight, cause of that whole mess with the Anthrax mailings and the initial attempt to cover up the fact that it came from Ft Detrick, then the push to blame someone, anyone, other than Phillip Zack despite having fired him intolerant and abusive behavior and having him on film accessing that area AFTER he was fired and just before that batch of Anthrax went missing - can't say I'd trust the folks who played that game to do an honest analysis of anything, you know ?

I also would be most certainly interested in some analysis of the other devices which everyone seems bent on pretending don't exist for the moment - that one will come out of its own in good time, but I should hope prior to their convenient disposal like what happened in Oklahoma.

Key to this is simple, if they were cell-phone triggered, which likely they were, then the phone from the undetonated device can be accessed to pull its call log, thus leading to potential suspects.

ETA: Ayep, and yanno I'd like to see his employment record and if he worked at that trucking company, hmm.

I'd love to get some rice in the mail.

My mail box is pretty small, but they'd leave a package at my doorstep.

Please, send me some wild rice, preferably Uncle Ben's....

This fucking Aldi diet is killing me.....

Too gorram funny. They got the wrong guy!

Strike two! Yet another attempt to blame it on a white conservative nut job !

First, Salon.com's article on why the Boston bomber MUST be a white guy, or else.

Then, an anti-govt , southern white male gets hauled in for sending ricin laced letters to folks in D.C.

One small problem. While suspect #1 was in custody, ANOTHER ricin letter shows up. Oh, and they didn't have ANYTHING on the first guy, no trace of ricin at his home, no google searches on where to get ricin on his computer, nothing!

Not the best week ever for our FBI guys. First, they let one of the Boston bombers slip through the cracks, even after we were given a heads up by the Russians.

And now this, arresting an innocent man for a ricin scare.

Well... they WERE from the Caucasus area. Doesn't get much whiter than Caucasian; they were from the area of the world where we get the name we call white people.

Yeah not their best week, but then again they've had an amazingly great record of stopping these things for 12 years.

When W was in office, these were ' false flag ' threats & plots. Now? ' Atta boy, FBI. ! '

But 1 thing is common ... Islamo-wackjob terrorists, trying to kill innocents.
