Honestly, I don't think Hamas - or any of the so-called terrorist organizations* - are looking to wipe Israel off the map. People In Gaza would settle for ending the blockade.

Really?
Are you the most delusional poster to ever appear on this board?
I wonder if anybody could find anybody more derailed than somebody posting this.

They've been beaten, they're on the ground, they can't possibly inflict as much damage on Israel as Israel can on them, and everybody knows it- Hamas knows it, the Palestinians know it, Israel knows it, and the whole world knows it. That's why the world sees Israel as the "bad guy"- the total imbalance of power.

I suspect sockpuppet. Nobody could actually believe that.

Huh.
I'll bet you dollars to donuts I could find "somebody" who'd believe that. In fact, quite a few somebodies!

Israel denounced by senior Irish cleric

Quote:

Speaking at the Eucharist service in Dublin’s Christ Church Cathedral Canon Patrick Comerford recalled that, in the context of what has been happening in Gaza, the Israeli ambassador to the US Ron Derner had told a Christian lobby group there last week that some were “ shamelessly accusing Israel of genocide and would put us in the dock for war crimes. The truth is that the Israeli Defence Forces should be given the Nobel Peace Prize . . . a Nobel Peace Prize for fighting with unimaginable restraint.”

Canon Comerford, lecturer in Anglicanism, Liturgy and Church History at the Church of Ireland Theological Institute in Dublin, rejected this assertion, recalling also that truth was the first casualty in war.

‘Battered children’ “Night after night, on television screens and impartial news outlets, I see the wounded, injured, maimed and battered children, frightened, screaming and even mute in shock and terror, brought by inconsolable and despairing parents to hospitals deprived of adequate facilities and medicine,” he said.

'Christians' of the Holy Land denounce Israel
Quote:

In a lengthy declaration labeled as a message of "faith, hope and love," dozens of Arab Christian leaders from various churches represented in the region denounced Israel as the main obstacle to peace and rejected the validity of the biblical link between the Jews and the land.

Published on Friday by regional leaders of the Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Lutheran, Anglican and Baptists churches, the document, titled "A Moment of Truth," lamented that the Israeli-Palestinian peace process had reached an impasse, and that there was now little hope of reversing "Palestinian suffering."

"We, a group of Christian Palestinians, after prayer, reflection and an exchange of opinion, cry out from within the suffering in our country, under the Israeli occupation, with a cry of hope in the absence of all hope, a cry full of prayer and faith in a God ever vigilant, in God's divine providence for all the inhabitants of this land," read the statement. "Today we have reached a dead end in the tragedy of the Palestinian people."

Israel was solely blamed for the situation. In a section titled "The reality on the ground," the Christian leaders listed the reasons peace had not been reached, including Israel's security wall, the presence of Jews in Judea and Samaria, Israeli checkpoints, the jailing of Palestinian terrorists, and Israel's control of a unified Jerusalem.

News flash, News flash.

Hamas push women and children as well as old people into battle zone. They hide in the homes of innocent civilians. They shoot at Israeli solders and then run into schools to hide behind children. They are doing this because they have no money to pay their troops.

More to come.

The silence from the other Arab countries while Hamas gets destroyed says it all. The rest of the Arab world has had enough of these guys and the Muslim Brotherhood. All these countries have said very little.

My friends?

I'm on the side of ordinary people. I recall writing a rather long post about making sure that women, children, and the elderly are all remembered as being part of a population, not just the fighters that get shown on TV.

You seem to be on the side of killers. Killers are YOUR friends.

Half of them are tyrannies. Yeah, it makes sense that you favor them.

Wow you’re not paying attention to what is being posted by me. I made no claims defending any of these countries leadership and I certainly have not taken up any of their causes. I merely pointed out the countries that usually came to the aid of Hamas in the past no longer do so. Why do you think that is Sig?

It's no wonder you and 1kiki always take away the wrong message from what the news is actually reporting.

And, similarly, I have not defended any of the nations that you claim I'm defending, nor have I taken up any of their causes.

Two can play at your cheap-shot argument game, you maroon. I can paint you as a tyrant-loving pro-jihadist based on your arguments with as much authenticity as you can try to paint me as a Putin-loving socialist.

In fact, I think I'm going to continue doing exactly that.

Yep, great post. Easy to understand. I had not seen it before but it told the story the way I know it. That's why they are trying hard in these talks to bypass Hamas and get Fatah or the PLO back in charge of the Gaza strip.

I also keep hearing about this population density go-se on MSM all the time.

Seems Gaza Strip has about 734/sqKm covering about 6,000 SqKm.

Tokyo is the 50th most dense city in the world with about 4,750 /sqkm covering about 7,000 sqKm.
NYC is 114th with about 2,050 covering 8,700sqKm.
Los Angeles is around 2,750 covering about 4,320sqKm.

Tel Aviv and Jerusalem both have population densities greater than Gaza - you may have heard of Hamasians bombing Tel Aviv(in Israel), with density around 5,050/sqKm?

London's density seems around 5,100.

The whining of the Hamasians regarding density seems a bit lame.

I am wondering if those who are siding with the Hamas-holes are claiming that NYC and L.A are also open air prisons?

Has Israel found and destroyed all the terrorist attack tunnels? Doesn't seem likely to me. And I don't know how Israel is supposed to stop all the missile attacks when they can be launched and disassembled in a few minutes. And despite the West's gutless resignation to the "inevitability" of it, is Israel really gonna just stand by and let Iran have a nuke? Only the kindling has been lit, the fire hasn't even started yet.

The cost of tunnels going INTO Israel cost Hamas well over 30 million $ alone, not counting any other tunnels they have constructed for their own underground transport, supply, shelter, etc... , and that doesn't count the items they had stored IN those tunnels. Also, those missiles aren't free. How many 1000's of those have been purchased ? I understand they're relatively cheap in terms of military hardware, but what benefit has Gaza gotten from the firing of all those rockets ?

How many have died? How many buildings have been damaged or destroyed ? Gaza has no power, or very little, due to power stations being blown up.

All that labor , materials and money, totally wasted on trying to destroy Israel, and where's it gotten the Pals ? Think of what they could have done had they just decided to live in peace.

* ETA - After a brief flurry of rockets to break the truce, it's been quiet for the day after.

Not sure if that's a good or bad sign.
