Because of the attacks at the capital where 15 law enforcement officers we suspended, police departments across the country are checking their ranks for racist and far right participants and sympathizers.

In 2019, there were 697,195 full-time law enforcement officers employed in the United States. I post this because experience tells me when more and more police are exposed as sympathizers to the radical right, attacks against the integrity of all police will be expressed here by some. Even if 2,000 thousand are found that is only 0.2868637899% of the police force across this country. If 9,000 are found yes that is a lot of bad cops, however the overwhelming majority provide a necessary service and need to be respected.

Personally I feel it will be very hard to root the bad ones out.

Dying gasp of the Trump clown show

We never expected Trump to accept defeat graciously. The problem is, he’s not even accepting it ungraciously. Instead, he’s claiming massive voter fraud (but only in those states he didn’t carry) and sending his legal goons out to file a flurry of lawsuits aimed at overturning the vote count and, ultimately, letting his hand-packed Supreme Court, not the American people, decide the election.

Now, before you totally freak out, two points about what’s going on. One, it’s tantamount to treason. Two, it’s not going to work.
